how quickly does white fade in tattoo's??? realisticly speaking

   

It doesnt,your skin turns white as you get older and it only looks like the white has faded but its actually just blending in.

   

I don't know..

When I got mine, the subject came up, and some artists simply refuse to use it because it does "fade" so quickly. I never asked how quickly "quickly" was though.

My white is still white, after 13 years... As is the blue blue and the red red

   

when i was 15 i tried to slit my wrist with a piece of glass I broke the skin but I didn't do any damage. It barely left a scar.

whenever times get really really hard for some reason my mind always drifts back to the though that maybe it would be easier if i wasn't here but I've noticed recently that i rub the inside of my wrist when i get into tough situations.

so I wanted to get the word 'strength' in white ink on the inside of my right wrist, i want to know its there but i dont want it to be real flashy and nooticible to a lot of people.

I think that's a great idea then.

If you're concerned about it fading, maybe you could get them to do it in a really pale colour. Less chance of fading, and still not overly noticeable.

   

Concidering the story behind it, I would advice to have a colour mixed, that is like the same as your skin colour.

   

lol i want to bea ble to see it but I want a light colour not like in black or anything else that's going to be super noticable

   

I've had some of mine for over 37 years now without any real fading except for a few of the colours. The thing is that colours will fade alot faster than black. As the matter of fact the colour on my first tattoo which is located on my left arm started fading fairly quickly, expecially after I got badly sunburnt. The ones on my legs which are also colour seem to be holding out alot better.

So unless you want to go whole hog and get a colour mural but you're worried about fading, my suggestion would be to get predominately black tattoo's in places that aren't going to be exposed to the sun continuously. But if you do go colour and they start fading, they can usually be retouched at a fairly reasonable price..

   

not to be rude or anything but if you read the rest of the thread you'd know that i DEFINATLLY dont want black because i dont want it to stand out and be flashy

   

How fair-skinned are you, newfette? I know the light-coloured tattoos don't work as well with people with fair skin, and the inside of your wrist doesn't tan a whole lot.

Also keep in mind that the skin is so thin there that it's very painful...

yeah - there's not much fat there so it's pretty painful I'm hold.
