I'd guess that I communicate with my MP (Bill Blaikie) and our government more than most, Ronnie. You and I are making the same point.

I haven't made up my mind about this one though. I'd love to have a nice warm place to run to when the weather gets cold. Someplace that takes our money at par and doesn't require a passport. I'm afraid that Canada, with it's current right-leaning government, would be little more than an imperialist state if there was a merger though...all take and no give. I don't want to be a part of that.

It doesn't matter much though...the people of the Turks and Caicos seem ambivalent at best. I've seen a couple of articles where most weren't really even aware of the issue, and there was a CP article in the paper today saying that many there, including some Canadian ex-pats, are against the merger.
