Scholar medal
Might we have a Scholar medal to recognize outstanding examples of scholarship and education?
BartSimpson, for example, has learned Arabic to read the Koran and is studying Farsi to read it in that language, thus comparing the Sunni version with the Shi'ia version. (he mentions it in this thread.)
This is worthy of recognition and commendation.

It would be nice if we could indicate his area of scholarship somehow
I have no idea how to create a design for it.

Everyone's a scholar on the internet. The men are all tall and muscular and the women are all babes. We all have high profile jobs (or we're independantly wealthy and don't have to work). Any one of us could join Mensa if we so chose, and we're all experts at something.

I'm not....
I'm jobless, dirt poor, living in my parents house and don't play sports.
Wooooot.
And will continue this for the next 26 years,
Kidding.

You will be.

Hey, I may be an egotistical asshole who enjoys making others feel bad, but I am not a liar...unless it gets me out of trouble

I have a job, am not dirt poor, live with rents, and ski.
And I will continue that for the next 8 months.

Then people wouldn't second it then, would they?
Firecat, I'll second it for ya!
I think that's what the debator medal is for.
I fail to see the point in having medals which represent things that don't directly relate to the forum (I'm talking to you, Cadet Medal!).
Can I nominate gangstalking? She’s an expert on psychological warfare, Masonic lore, key-jingling, street performances, jurisprudence and toad licking

Not necessarily. Someone could be a good debator, but be a dumbass. Or vice versa. Scholar just for someone who clearly is knowledgeable. In this case, knowing two or three other languages is pretty impressive (especially based on the purpose of understanding a culture better) but has no debating merit.

Cadet I agree. But I would want to keep the Soldier and Vet medal.
