[B][fade]Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if it's easy to get a work permit once in canada. The thing is that i'd like to go to Canada soon and I'm Mexican myself. So i would go there as a tourist but what if I wanted to stay there and decided to work there for a few months. Oh and what would be the first place you think there wouldn't be any trouble if i decided to start working there. and one last thing, is it easy finding a job there? If you could please help me by replying to those questions i've made i would sincerely appreciate it. I'm thinking to move to toronto or ontario. thanks in advanced.

Well if you want work go to Alberta. But wouldn't you be happier in the United States? Lots of your fellow countrymen live there and it is warmer and plenty of jobs plus you are closer to home.

There is lots of work in Toronto, Ontario....

You will need your snowmobile operators permit before they let you in the country.

Texas is better though or anywhere in the southern United States. There is a yank on here who lived there and even said so. Canada is overrated especially Toronto. You will probably just end up broke coming here or get sick of the cold.

if the guy is from the south, it doesn't necessarily mean that he cannot stand cold weather! i believe he has his reasons, when he enquires about working in canada and not the US.

Hope your not talking about me there Clogeroo? Odd that your so liberal and wanting all to get along yet your trying to talk someone out of comeing to Canada. Your on the verge of being intolerent of Americans. Wow how will that go over with your liberal friends.

How about you let the man himself decide where he wants to go?

Work is available all over the country, it just depends on what your profession is.

Construction workers can find work anywhere, especially here in Ottawa with all the new projects going up. Workers in the Hi-Tech field can also find lots of work here.

Big Business? Toronto.

Marine Technology? Vancouver of Halifax.

It varies across the country.

Since when was I ever a liberal? I also meant that guy who came to Alberta from Texas and complained about how bad it was here and was better back home and was more affordable. I'm just making valid points and Canada is a lot father from where he is from so maybe he would be better in the southern United States which is more like home and easier to adjust too. Not sure how I'm being intolerant of Americans when I'm saying it could be a better place to live? It also depends where in Mexico he is at too and what kind of profession he is in. By his post it says he might come here as a tourist or maybe want to work for a few months that being said sounds like to me he just wants to make a few bucks and Alberta would be a good place to go for that. But as I said why come all the way here when there is the United States?

dude he never asked about moving to the US. he asked about Canada, if he wants to move to the US he doesn't need you to tell him why he would like it better in Texas than in Toronto.

there's lots of jobs all over Canada if you're motivated and willing to work. If you don't have an education and just want to work then going out west is the best choice, but Toronto is always good, lots of other immigrants there too so you won't feel so alone
