This is so sad. We should speak out against abuse.

I have always maintained that the best punisment for crimes like that was the stocks.
"That seems kinda lenient." you might say. Then you don't understand the true effectivness of the punishment. The punisment wasn't having your head and arms immobilised for a few days; it was having your head and arms immobilised for a few days out in whatever weather prevailed, helpless to defend yourself against anything anyone might do to you and not even knowing who was doing it to you. Imagine Karla in the stocks in a darkened corner of a park somewhere in Hamilton and the parents and freiends of the kids she killed being aware that she was defenceless and undefended. Imagine the perverts lining up.... Yeah. You're getting the idea now. Imagine a sex offender being stationed like that and going home a few parts lighter, if at all. BRING BACK THE STOCKS!

that was very hard to read.it is heart breaking to realize children are put through this kind of abuse.
