I was just checking out the scenic pics of Canada on this site and was reminded of something that really ticks me off.

Why is it that whenever something about Canada is published, there is a huge emphasis put on BC, Ontario and Quebec (and sometimes Alberta) but all the other provinces get hardly a mention? And forget about it if you're from the territories!

I'm not denying that there is a lot of beauty in the "Big 3", but it's sad that most people do not recognize the beauty of, say, Saskatchewan. It's no wonder Americans think Canada has only 3 cities - Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.

So, I'm calling on Canadians from all the "other" provinces to get out your cameras and let's show everyone how beautiful and diverse this country really is!!

- Proud to be from Winnipeg!!!

I wish people would post some more pics from across the country. I personaly like BC scenery the best, from what i have seen, it is amazing. I have done a lot of backcountry dirtbiking trip in the middle of nowhere, absolutly amazing. They don't call it Beautiful British Columbia for nothing :)

I have been living in B.C for seven yrs .And the sooner I get out of this place the better .While B.C the people and the scenery is absolutely breathataking I miss the Prairies Alberta and the flat land where a one or two hour trip in Alberta is just that where as in B.C a two hour trip doubles .I will get a lot of flack from this posting .And I sure dont want to upset my adopted province.I just cant get used to the rain on the coast.

One of the great things about living in a free society is that you can pack up and leave to go live where you are happy .

I am happy in B.C and it is great to live in a society where one can pick up and leave .I just feel so closterphobic here .Seems there just is not any wide open spaces here in the lower mainland. B.C is a great and friendly province I need the wide open spaces .At least on the prairies you can stand on a dime and see for another ten miles.

And see what? 10 miles of nothing... Here you see lakes rivers, snow caped mountains, Even in downtown Vancouver. Compared to most US cities or back east, BC is not crowded at all.

Yes, B.C. is beautiful, breathtaking, gorgeous. However, having spent 40 years in Saskatchewan...I can absolutely relate to "needing the wide open spaces". Mountains or prairies....doesn't matter. It's all good. :)
