So you're not begrudging someone making over $100k per year...........just the ones making over $500k per year.

I wouldn't actually care about any number if we all were doing well and were somewhere in the middle.

The problem I see is those same people making the $100,000/year find it OK to doom others to raise a family on $15,000/year.

The other concern I have is that a person cannot add more value to his work by receiving half a million dollars more than what he made last year.

If such things are happening, to me this is an indication that the particular individuals are not interested so much in doing their job well but only in money making.

This isn't a communist country so I think that's just wishful thinking.

It seems you feel that all those making over $100k per year are responsible for holding back or repressing those not making that money?

While I have no idea who you are specifically talking about nor their employment agreement. It sounds as though there may have been a performance base incentive plan that was exceeded or met, because no one in the public sector can just give themselves a raise after they've signed a employment contract...........unless you are getting money to run an air ambulance.

Not all of them, some of them. Many positions do not have any bearing on laws or other government decisions that affect the broad public.

With the example above I was referring to the top Ontario Power Generation employees.

Those are pretty general statements without being more specific. Besides I don't know of any civil servant employee that would be making $15,000 per year.....which are the people who would be working under the sunshine list people. Thinks about who these people are and who would be working directly under them, right down to the new Receptionist at the front door.
