$1:
Leviticus also says that:

working on the sabbath
eating beef
eating shrimp
planting two different types of crop side by side

eating beef is a sin? Oh God, the next time we get served brisket at our friend's place, I'll have to stone them. I think you're confusing the meat dairy issue. Having a cheeseburger is wrong according to the Laws of Kashrut, found in Book of Deuteronomy.

Leviticus 11:3; Deuteronomy 14:6 state which animals Jews are allowed to eat. Sheep, cattle, goats and deer are all kosher livestock. If you're going to argue about the inconsistencies found within the Bible, and there are many, please list those that actually appear there.

Also, many Jews (Reformed) don't follow these dietary rules at all anymore. In fact I have several Jewish friends and family members(through marriage) that eat pork. In Israel you can go into many Russian delis and get great smoked ham.....which drives the blackhats nuts, not that they don't have far to go.

But, remember Christ also claimed not to have come and replaced the old laws. They still stood for him, as a Pharisee.

 My former (mwah... formal still ;-)) sister in law doesn't eat pork, and even didn't want a Christmas tree, because she "doesn't do" Christmas. Too bad (for her) my brother didn't go that far, and she was to decorate it ROTFL

I know several mixed faith families (Jewish/Christian) and they try to incorporate both aspects into their lives and compromise for the sake of marital harmony.
