Hehe Heh! The warden just approved my security clearance for institutional access through CPIC. Green light all the way!

I'm good to go to Grande Cache via banff,Jasper,Lake louise and Hinton tommorow then a few more hours north and on to the new prison Harper is building for the 14 year old car thieves.

That's all I was waiting for. [B-o]

Off to prison. It's right in the mountain's too. 8)

When I phoned this guy up the other day he said he had more equipment sitting around then bodies and how fast can you get here?

When I worked for him before I wouldnt see him for a week, then he would drive out to my site and drop off Coveralls, battery powered grease gun, hats and all kinds of shit at my truck. Then I wouldnt see him for another week.

Go pick up my cheque,he would look and say holy shit! how much am I paying you?

I would say a buck an hour less then the guy down the street. [B-o] He would keep me in the shop long enough for his guys to fuel my truck right up and fill it with more goodies.

This guy is great and i would allmost work for free a few days just to help him out he's been so good to me.
He trades in most equipment for new after 1 year. 8)

So off to Banff and Jasper in about 6 hour's,hope theres lot's of Tim Hortons along the way.

Heh! Their recruiting big time for prison guards here,$28.00/hour and full benefits. 8O Their even hitting up the construction workers when they come in for their security pass every day.You give them your driver's licence and you get it back when you bring back the security card.

Nice place,Grande Cache,mountains all around.

There's a 3 month core course they take, firearms training tommorow,I told them I dont want any bullets coming through my grader windows. 8O

Most of the time you start as casual part time, which isn't a real dependable income.

It's going from minimum to medium so their recruiting a whack.
Their starting full time,I just had dinner with a bunch of them and asked a few questions.Lot's of them are glad they can work from home here at grande cache as most used to work in the patch and like they say,why leave home when you can make patch wages at home?

20 trainee's today,we have to juggle our work for all the extra traffic.

ziggy @ Mon Oct 27, 2008 8:45 pm

In this town 1/3 of the people in the hotels are oil patch worker's,1/3 are environmental guy's,and the other 1/3 are consultants/inspectors.

ziggy @ Tue Oct 28, 2008 8:06 pm

30 trainee's and more coming.Today they were practicing live fire at the range next to us.But their not allowed tazers.Good thing.

Next week we will be working inside the wire and have to give up cel phones, money, blackberrys, keys, and then a dog sniff's your nut's.
