Wow.and your not useing it?

How am I using it?

Maybe my words are obviously being mixed up so I'm just going to reiterate as dumbed down as I can:

I think homosexuals should be allowed to wed as completely and irrevocably as heterosexuals. I don't think it should be up to the church

For example, I make the assumption that every individual has rights to life and liberty, which is based upon my religious belief that God created Man in His own image and thus Man has intrinsic self-worth.

Blink from Malcolm Gladwell? I'll Google it, but I make no promises.

As for religion, well, it is the fundamental basis for one's life philosophy. That's what religion is by its very nature. So my perspective is (I hope) always grounded in my religious belief. It is just that many of the basic assumptions of society work from fundamental principles from which we all operate.

Yes.. fundamentalist.. you are right.. everyone else is wrong.. Jesus loves you and no one else.. right?

Well I have no religious beliefs so I tend to see things for what they are and not ruled by some religious dogma that tells me whats right or wrong.
You should try it sometime. :D
How does my religious dogma deny reality? How am I unable to see things as they actually are? How is an areligious perspective any more capable than a religious one?

His perspective is we should believe his perspective, based on his religion, which means squat to me.

If I did not believe I was right, then I would not exist because I would be a paradoxical entity. And Jesus loves everyone. :P

You deny reality when you think someone in the sky who has never been seen runs your life, sorry dude but thats not reality.

I might have to drag up my old dear god topic again, for the believers.

I beg your pardon? I was trying to work back to fundamental assumptions we could agree upon before religion was brought in and the existence of a rational religious perspective began to be attacked. Your perspective on my perspective is incorrect.

Do you wish to discuss the existence of God, then? It's a bit off-topic, but I am having fun here.

You can have freedom of speech, so long as you don't say anything....
