Sharia is not the problem

BS, you're a muslim. Don't try and pull the "I feel sorry for them but I'm not one of them" trick.
lol my religious beliefs aren't the topic here bud, its actually quite the opposite, its our
cultural beliefs is what we are debating today. Now stay focused, you are going to miss out on knowledge that people wouldn't care to search for.
Hence this is the reason why I am stating that we should hold on to our values, after all, these same value are what made this country a great one in the 1st place.
Seriously, anyone should take the time to read through the site that I have posted earlier, there are some good points mentioned. It shows that Britain has some issues in regards to immigration, mostly from the Muslim world. They are trying to change everything about their host or adoptive country. Usually, that's not the way it should be, instead quite the opposite.
Like mentioned earlier, if all of this crap worked so well back in your homeland, then it would have been much simpler for you to stay there. I am not being a smartass, it's only common sense. No need for you to come to Canada then. Like I always said, if you are so proud of your native land, then don't bother to immigrate here. Since Canada is already a proud nation, We already have our own set of values and that's the way it should be.
Your saying we should addopt their form of legal system, thats striving to be like them.
Religious instutions are a seperate matter, we are talking about a legal system though, something that gives athority over someone. Churches do not have authority over someone. Religious schools do, but they answer to a secular goverment which has direct authority over them.
cause its unconstitutional..
it brings no benefit to Canada.
it divides and segregates people, creating a society within a society.
we dont need a separate legal system for our 'special' people, Canadian law works well enough.
is that enough, or would you like more ????

No one is saying anyones values should be changed, but you have to respect the fact that there are many people out there, who many not have the same values as you, and your values are not the same as all Canadians, every person is different. There are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Atheist Canadians, what gives you the right to exclude one religion or another?
Because thats the way Canada was made great. Why in the hell would we take 5 steps backwards for muslims?
like it or leave, nobody is forcing you to stay.

Ok so whats wrong with setting up a civil court like religious schools with complete authority of secular government?
Because we are dealing with law, all schools teach differently, all courts are meant to be the same. Thats what keeps everything equal, and if you havent noticed religious schools are becoming more secular as time goes on.
You keep forgetting a major issue as well, ITS RELIGION! If we let Shari law then we have to let any cult that classes as a religion to do the same thing. Do you really want to see Scientology law enacted?
Point here folks is this is CANADA.. we have laws and they apply to everyone.. not up for negotiation.. plain and simple .. if you don't like it.. go back to where you came from.. plain and simple

As long as these laws are not religiously extremist. I'm not opposed to a 90% muslim Canada, I'm opposed to any form of religion hijaking of our public institutions. There are plenty of little vermin who are trying to bring religion back into politics, this is what caused the muslim world to capitulate into the bronze age in the first place.

There is no place for any religion in our public institutions. Be it Christianity, Judaism, Mornonism, Buddhism, Zeus, Rah etc etc.
We fought so hard to gain our laws, and pry the Christian hand away from our public life, we cannot throw it all away for the sake of accommodation.

I'm outlining the fact that it's not Islam that's a problem, it's allowing the mixture of public institutions (i.e. Canadian Justice System) with religious (ie. Sharia or Canon Law) or any other form of religious governance is a step backwards.
$1:
Piss off, take your religion (cult) and go back to whatever slum your parents came from. We will never have this in Canada. Oh and BTW alot of "Canadians" don't like muslims, i'm one of them please to meet you.
Yep, this is becoming something you hear more and more. People are getting a little fed up with this shit. There are problems with the open immigration policies in Canada as a whole anyway, but the Muslim's just seem to stir up more shit that any one group. What really gets people, myself included is when I see how far over federal and provincial governments bend to accommodate this shit. Like what the hell are we changing our laws, labour practices and laws and society in general so that we have to conform in order to not offend them? I've heard people say that Islam in general is fast becoming a global threat to 'free societies', this was from someone that is pretty fanatical in their own religious beliefs. I pointed out to them, that it's not Islam that is the 'threat', it's all organized religion, the guy's looking at me like, 'what?' Look moron, you live your life based on a mish mash collection of stories written by who knows who and when, so full of contradictions and inaccuracies it's beyond funny and you're actually trying to single out another religion as bad? Give your head a shake.
As far as Muslim's and Canada?..
This is our country fuckers, not yours. You wanna come here that's fine, you live by our laws and rules. Don't like it? Fuck off! You want to come into my store and make a scene because a certain book offends you? Get the fuck out before I throw your ass through the fuckin' window! Allah who? It's getting fuckin' ridiculous. I have to be careful of what I say or do so as not to offend you because of your delusional beliefs? Ya that'll be the fuckin' day asshole!
Careful, or you might wind up in court on hate speech charges. [/sarcasm]
I totally agree. There should definitely NOT be a seperate religious court for ANY religious body within any secular country. Do we want to bring back the Inquisition? We would all likely burn at the stake.
