Wake Up True Israel!!!

A. Look up Bronze Age..only the Old Testament occured then.
B. Well nice of you to label the beliefs one billion people irrelevant.
C. The fact that nothing relevant happened for you, doesn't mean that educated people find relevance in what it discusses, from a scolarly or historical viewpoint. I'm sure that your birth, life and death will have far less impact on the world than a semi mythical rabbi's birth, life and death did.
You should all put some ointment on that it seems really sensitve..
I am only saying you cannot predicit what is going to happen in the future by cracking open the bible (or any other religious text) and pointing out that God said this and this prophet said that.
If you want to believe in a deity go right ahead, but when you start using your religious stories as a crystal ball you need to give your head a shake.

To be fair, it's only the OT that's cited in JustKate's C&P rant.
There was some Hebrews right at the end.

The bible is not based on fact, so it cannot be used as evidence.

Your opinion is not based on fact, so it cannot be used as evidence, although offering it as an argument could lead us to interesting places. Do you really want to get into that mess here?
In response to the original post:
JustKate, it feels like you are getting tied up in possible implications of the Scripture, and not dealing with the current principles of it. I appreciate the interpretation of prophecy, but take care not to lose the more relevant things to which we should apply ourselves. Love God and your neighbor, regardless of what will happen to them.
If you want to believe down to the letter all the myths and stories in the Bible go right ahead, I wont debate you. Just please dont come to me, warn me about the coming armageddon and demand I take you seriously.
