Cosmos
Anyone watch the premier? I was unaware Seth McFarlane was the exec producer. I was expecting a bit more T&A.
Certainly enjoyed the first episode.

McFarlane? I guess Degrasse-Tyson must of put the kibosh on all the fart and vomit jokes if they wanted to secure his co-operation for the hosting gig.

Watching it now. If they want more anti-science people to watch it, maybe they shouldn't have pres. Obama open the series. Just say in'.

Quite enjoyable.

Very enjoyable indeed. They really do a fine job of explaining the vastness of the universe and the brief moment of time we've been a part of it.

I was just thinking how cool it would have been to have the 10th Doctor, David Tennant as the presenter....
Only works if you're a Doctor Who fan I guess....

Too many people wouldn't get the reference, myself included. Though he would be a better host than the current Dr. Who, Peter Capaldi.

I imagine Bill Donahue is going to have a cow over this bit...

Although I'm a big Doctor Who fan, I'm a bigger Neil DeGrasse Tyson fan.
I recall him recounting a time when as a high school student, he was invited by Carl Sagan to tour the campus where Dr Sagan was tenured and to stay at Dr. Sagan's home while he was there. Dr. DeGrasse Tyson said of Carl Sagan - "not only did I then decide what I wanted to do with my life, but also what sort of person I wanted to become."
what channel in the Shaw continuum?
Gunnair Gunnair:

The other producer is Ann Druyan, Carl Sagan's widow, who also produced the first series. She's probably the origin of the phrase 'behind every good man is a good woman'.
In the 70's, she helped Carl Sagan produce and design the records found on the Pioneer and Voyager probes.

Fox, I believe. I set my PVR, and just hope it doesn't let me down.

I liked it.
I want more.
