No, I won't click on that because your videos have become too clickbaitie, and I don't see any topic I am interested in on the thumbnail.

The algorithm has nothing to do with it.

The TLDR of it was social media is deindexing news across the board. Not just in Canada but clearly we are more acute. It's a trend but it seems to be with a push by gatekeepers/stakeholders.

I think Jesse Brown said it best with the fact that most people who follow news diligently is a very small percentage of the population but are very dedicated to the discipline. These few end up becoming the people who others look to to find out what is going on in the news cycle at any particular point. These people haven't changed their spots and the algorithm knows this so it doesn't focus on curating to that focus. Social media is about clicks and news is a 1% game for them, sure you could make millions but why make millions when you can make billions in low effort cat videos?

The dumbing down continues

Yea, I saw that a year ago as they slowly pushed Ukrainian war channels off Youtube. And certain governments like Poland completley wiping out TVP world totally because of politics.

And the excuses are so lame. banning one group for 'impersonation'. . . of . . .something something?

Why shouldn't he ignore their questions? The comment section of the video is eating this up.

Ad hominems have replaced conservative policy.

Scape @ Wed Feb 21, 2024 9:22 pm

They had policy? I thought they were just a grifts and memes in a trenchcoat. You know, the get off my lawn party?

Seriously, he is at least as long as he has a real shot at PM, keeping the people's party under wraps at least. We know their policies are all the worst ones from the GOP so that's at least an improvement.

I harken back to thee goode olde days when Conservatism meant; small government, balanced budgets, and staying the fuck out of people's private lives.

Now it's just fear, uncertaincy, doubt with a healthy mix of catchy insults in imabic pentameter.

Trudeau takes a swipe at Poilievre over his stance on age verification for porn

$1:
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday that adults shouldn't have to share their personal information to access pornography online.

Speaking at a housing announcement in Cape Breton, Trudeau said Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre's endorsement of some sort of age-verification system for porn sites is something his party opposes.

"He's proposing that adults should have to give their ID and personal information to sketchy websites, or create a digital ID for adults to be able to browse the web where they want," Trudeau said of Poilievre.

"That's something we stand against."

Now if porn was a gun...
