That was a cool flag those 2 girls had, it would make a good one for the Western Republic of Canada
Wow a 23 year drought for a win in the ALCS for the Jays
Indians coming up to Bat in the 5th, they lead 2 - 1
Wow just 2 runs in 2 games, not going g to happen that way boys.
Is it 7 strike outs for Joey ? Not playing for contract with that stat
Starting to look a lot like last year.
Credit Terry Francona - his pitchers came through for him. Nothing wrong with our pitching, only allowed 2 runs in this game. If the Jays have any chance of coming back in this series they really need to get back to basics and find a way to put runs on the board. Hopefully home-field advantage will be a boon for them.
Not surprising. End of the regular seasons statistics and standings sometimes matter because a sub-par team can only cover up for so long until they run into a superior one. Cleveland finished first in their division eight games ahead of Detroit. Toronto finished four games behind Boston and sneaked in on a wild card game win. It's just the better team rising to the top right now, and Toronto probably used up all their angry energy against Texas and the detestable OdorSmell.
The Jays set a strike out record last night and went out today and 1 upped it and set a new record at 12.
Anyone know off the top of your head if this is the frst time the Cubs have been in the NLCS since the Bratman fiasco.
I guess I could look for myself
Indians lead 1 zip going to the top of the 2nd
Michael Saunders ties it up in the second with a first pitch homer
But Saunders hits a HR to tie it up.....
The dreaded 2 - 1 lead.
Now tied at 2 in the 5th with only 1 out....
