Annexation of Canada to the USA, in our lifetime.

Here is a crazy thought Bacardi, let's say that Mexico collapsed and the US sends in troops to stabilize and impose a state of order. Who would stop them?
Now if the US is really considering annexing us, we are dead. Full stop. Sure we can hide in the hills and do our version of red dawn but we all know that's fairly insignificant and no the international community will not come riding to our rescue. They didn't help Yugo and that was in the heart of the EU.
Simply put it's better not to own the cow if you can get the milk for free and right now the US gets that under FTA/NAFTA. If that was to fail or if their demands out pace our ability to provide only then does the idea of annexing becomes anywhere near palatable. This action would have to be under the backdrop of a much larger and pressing crisis. In other words if the US thinks their very existence is at stake there is nothing on earth that is going to stop them from taking anything and everything from us if they were so inclined.

This is a thought of Annexation of Canada, nobody ever said anything about the US having there existence on the line. Secondly, America can send as many troops into Canada as they want but it doesn't mean they own it.
American troops can march in, slaughter our military. Take over our government buildings, take down the Canadian Flag and put up the American Flag and Salute it but the citizens are the country and you have to win them over to gain the country.
If Canadian citizens stood up against the American Agression, which they probally would. It would probally mean more meat for the grinder, as no Canadian civilian rebelion would defeat the US Military in combat but they would win a PR war which the world would respond too.
I already said that the scenario I listed was a scenario, which means a estimate. A scenario that wouldn't happen because America is too smart to invade Canada.
In my Scenario I listed how I think it would play out, there is no way in the world a country like Canada with good trade potential with other countries that belongs to NATO, UN, etc and has outstanding relations with many countries would be allowed to be raped by a American Agression. Expecialy if there interests are over our natural resources that get traded to these countries which gets involves in those countries best interests.

And the biggest reason they wouldn't invade is our intelligence system. Our military operations are so integrated and so sensitive we would know when they are coming. We are the only country in the world entrusted with the location of every single American military aircraft on the planet (Think NORAD). The US relies on airctraft to win a war. So even if one of our guys in Colorado thinks something is up, that info is probably already on it's way to NDHQ.
Next thing, an American military buildup for invasion would take several days, if not weeks, since most of their army is in the south, whereas if I was given the phonecall right now, my unit would be ready to move within X number of hours, would be in New York at Lunchtime Monday, and Washington Monday evening. If we were to cut off the hydro and oil supplies, and burn all the communcations systems as we went (including forward ops to fuck with all forms of tele-communications), we'd be in Washington DC blowing the shit out of the Pentagon and burning the whitehouse before the yanks had the chance to notice. Any American who saw our vehicles rolling down the road would think we are just members of their army, we look the same, we drive the same trucks, we don't have the maple leaf plastered to the side of our vehicles. He'll they'd prolley be cheerign us on in the streets until they realised that we were actually the invaders.

No, I'm suggesting that more right-wing supporters tend to already own firearms with which they could potentially defend themselves and left-wing supporters tend to be more pacifist and don't have the means to defend themselves.
Also, this right-winger has no desire to become part of the US, even though I do admire them.
