Why aren't people outraged that CKA merchandise is made in sweatshops in third world countries? I thought you guys were supposed to be against that...
I am a little concerned; maybe Trev will be able to clarify this. I know that Gildan has factories in Canada.

Suddenly interested in my posts now?

You want the facts? Just go to my blog, I've got it all there, you want more dirt on www.gildan.com? You know where to find it.

The irony is...how long have you (anyone reading this) been posting at this canadaka.net site? How long have you been basically PROMOTING a website that basically used America/Foreign sweatshop labour to make their "%100 Canadian" merchandise?

I wonder how long most of the posters here have been posting away...without even QUESTIONING what the fuck they were 'championing' in the first place?

Betcha some of you are starting to feel used huh?

Read this quote *carefully*

"Life unquestioned is life lived in a religious state." - Godfrey Reggio, film director

Are you in a 'religious state'?

Have a hankering for the "sociopath" medal, don't you?

Do you care that merchandise here could be made in sweatshops?

I've always been told I'm a little 'extreme' so why the fuck stop here.

No, honestly at this point I'm not entirely sure that I do care that they could be made in sweatshops. Whether or not we buy them, isn't going to make a rats ass worth of difference to the existance of said sweat shops, or those people's quality of life. Sad, but true. I'd rather at least buy a piece of clothing and enjoy it and have their work have been worth something, than try to boycott them for their entire life to have been for nothing, for them to have lived exactly the same lifestyle if not worse, and all for nothing.

Frankly right now what I care about more, is that Rabblewatch actually make a post without linking to his blog, and spamming the whole fucking forum up with his blog links.

Unfortunately, it's not likely to happen, Persiana. Rabblewatch is just a pathetic, demented, irrelevant attention whore.

I foolishly took a peek at his little blog. It's a piece of shit. PDT_Armataz_01_33

OK from now on you can't buy anything from Walmart, because you are above all that.

Maybe someone should direct this historically unaware simpleton to a good history book, as American economic integration is hardly a recent phenomenon – look up Macdonald’s National Policy as its legislative initiatives helped (this is not a critique, by the way, of the strategy) establish American plants here in Canada as a means of avoiding tariff issues. I wonder why he’s not criticizing this instead of harping on alleged CKA merchandise origins.

Also, something is rotten in the state of Denmark. All of a sudden there is an influx of noobies who seem suspiciously “supportive” of this guy’s sorry, politically pedestrian rhetoric. Can a mod please check IP’s ? Thanks.

Nail the prick, the next time he jaywalks. " Oops!! Sorry my karma just ran over your dogma."

I'd like to see the admin/owner refute this. Besides his/her mea culpa (It's in the cafepress store), the fact remains: You're using an AMERICAN COMPANY (Cafepress.com is located in California), to basically sell Anti-US themed merchandise.

That's the HEIGHT OF HYPOCRISY.

Got it?

I do, but you sure don't. "No deep integration" isn't about not doing business with America, or not buying American-made products. It's about not selling out our economy to America.

I think many interpreted it as such. This halfwit isn’t interested in actually fostering a legitimate dialogue insomuch as he’s trying to peddle his pitiful “ideas.” I’d love to know where his car comes from (or its parts, for that matter) or his shoes, or his electronics, or his clothes, or his DVDs because if anything (and believe me, it does) comes from the United States or another country then he’s a first-rate hypocrite.

Besides, he’s already failed to note that economic ties have historically been strong and significant between Canada (and previously, British North America) and the United States, so why gripe about it now? Why not go back and critically examine reciprocity treaties, National Policy, Auto Pact, FTA and NAFTA (to name just a few)?

Ah, to little rabblewatch:

1. The irony. You're advertising your blog on a website you claim to despise? Isn't that way out hypocritical? AND you're blasting away at the site for having *gasp* American cotton in the t-shirts? Fuck dude, this is the only relevancy you're going to have in life, isn't it? Well, your 15 seconds is up. Did you have fun?

2. I direct people to a much better response to bloggers than I could write: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=banish

I'm sure they do, but I'm just having so much fun pointing out this moron's lack of knowledge to him. It's like playing Missle Command - so easy, but so much fun.

True…but, his moronic ramblings are like a train wreck…can’t look away…must see stupidity in action…intellectual carnage is massive…he’s bleeding everywhere…his hypocrisy is letting out too much intellectual currency…but I don’t care, because it’s far too entertaining mocking this dunce.

Lemme get this straight,

All you 'Forum Elites' are blathering on over how much of a dickhead I am, and yet
*NONE* of you are able to address the questions I've brought up

1) Canadaka.net's Supposedly "%100 CANADIAN MADE" T-shirts are in reality
MADE IN SWEATSHOPS IN HONDURAS/HAITI/MEXICO

2) *NONE* of you forum *Elites* are able to describe to me what does
"%100 CANADIAN MADE" really means.

Or as this website sez:

The CKA Shirts are 100% Canadian made, printed and shipped with Canada Post, making them 100% Canadian.

"Making them %100 Canadian."? Right? WRONG.

Conclusion: This is supposed to be a website promoting how KICKASS Canada is right?

Then why can't any of you 'FORUM ELITES' answer a simple question? PLEASE DEFINE "%100 PERCENT CANADIAN?"

Y'know, maybe I should start asking other websites/human rights-progressive
websites if they can help me determine what %100 PERCENT CANADIAN means...
