Is the US really No. 1?
The US gives 0.16% of GDP in aid, the least of any G-7 nation. The goal is 0.7%. Diddle the numbers all you want, those are facts.

They are behind but I don't think that is really all that bad a thing. Besides when it counts the US is there, at least the people are.
Big difference between people and governments though, Scape.
who cares about that, they give the MOST, enough said
Damn Liberals want everything, you give them $4.00 and they know you have $20.00 they want the other $16.00 PISS OFF
Actually they don't give the most though. A goal was set three decades ago and the United States has done the least to meet it.
If you want to be the leader of the world, then you should lead. If you want to claim to be the leader while not doing what it takes to earn the title, then you should get used to being called on it.

This is a lie. America's foreign aid was nearly $16 billion in 2003, nearly twice as much as the next highest country (Japan).
The "goal" to which you refer is nothing more than a pipe dream. The scumbags who cash America's foreign aid welfare checks should be happy they don't get $0, because that's a lot closer to what they deserve.
It's a goal that the US and other nations agreed to meet. It's expressed as a percentage of GDP because economies are massively disparate. It's a real goal that you agreed to.
By the way, I bitch at my own government for not meeting it too.

1) I didn't agree to anything
2) Percentage of GDP doesn't mean squat. Back here in real life, dollars matter, not percentages
3) The goal is stupid and America should rescind her promise
4) Poor nations are poor for a reason, and they deserve nothing
Dollars is dollars.
And the USA is ahead of Canada.

Percentage of GDP does matter
how can a nation with 30million expect to give the amount a nation with 300million does, its just not realistic.
Not to mention that a lot of poor nations are poor because of the policies and actions of developed nations.
Suxs to be them
They had a head start on everybody, I don't feel sorry for any nation that has hundreds of years head start and still is a shithole, why should we ?
Why are they in the state?
You know what happens to weak animals in the wild don't you?
and don't post they are not animals, i know that.
Has Blair even heard of Darwin?

I didn't ask what you thought was "realistic." I said raw numbers matter.
Let's say the $30M country contributes $1M, and the $300M country contributes $5M. Does that mean that the $5M (1.6%) contribution gets less work done than the $1M (3.3%) contribution?
Fact of the matter is the the USA is #1 in foreign aid, period.

Waaaaaah.... it's the white devil's fault they're lazy and worthless and constantly at war with other tribes. It's the USA's fault they rape their women, don't wear rubbers, and infect each other with HIV. It's America's fault they're uncivilized apes who behead each other for cursing mohammed. It's our fault they allow a repressive communist government to remain in power.
IT'S ALL OUR FAULT.
