Geovanny Villalba-Aleman, a recently graduated international student, faces three counts of aggravated assault, four counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, police said.
"Investigators have reason to believe that this was a planned and targeted attack motivated by hate related to gender expression and gender identity," Waterloo Regional Police Chief Mark Crowell said at a Thursday news conference.
Police said the suspect walked into the gender studies class of roughly 40 students, asked the 38-year-old professor for the subject of the class, then attacked her with two large knives.

Whatever. You can deny all you want what your own eyes are telling you. Someone else's willful blindness isn't my issue to fix. Your sticking your head in the sand on too many of these things doesn't make you right - it just makes you really sad to look at. If you'd bother to look at the cretin in the photos that have been released you'd notice in an instant that he/she/whatever is as far away as it gets from being Proud Boy, Nazi, or MAGA material. Knock yourself out trying to pin it on creeps like PeePee, Rob Ford ("this is what life is like in Ford's Ontario!", say all the internet experts), JK Rowling, Danni The Dunce Smith, or even Trump but you're merely going to waste your energy doing so.
BTW, I'm not on the right but you, sir, are 100% confirmed in the zero-compromise hard core ideological left. And we both know this to be absolutely true.

The eyes lie. Ask James Randi. I believe what can be proven.
And what can be proven is when one group is reduced to 'others', then they become the target of anger and hate of those who have been turned to hate them and blame them for the ills they are told to see in society. It happened to the Jews; the Tutsuis and Twas; the Bosniaks; the Tigrayans; and now anyone who shows a non-binary gender is being served up to the blood god. Every authoritarian needs a scapegoat.
This stabbing is the logical conclusion of the hate seeping out of the politics of division adopted by the far right. The same ones who have no issue flying General Lees' battle flag, or swasticas. Speech has consequences and even victims.

Never wrote you were on the right. But some of the things you write are directly out of their playbook. So if you think you are not, perhaps you might consider that. You may feel I do not compromise, but then again you simply have not presented a convincing argument to make me believe otherwise. There is a difference between following blindly, and being shown a chain of evidence to show a viewpoint. I easily change my viewpoint when facts contrary to my opinion are presented.
Have you found any video evidence of 'groomers' reading to kids? Court cases? Any shred of actual wrongdoing? That's all I require. Proof, not innuendo or rumour. I don't mind being called names, but I know you can form an argument better than that.
Edit: These are the conditions you need to meet in order to change my mind. What are the conditions I need to me to change yours?

You can see less dressed young women on the streets and in the malls now. Go to a public beach and try counting all the exposed butts. Pretty sure a lot of these girls are under 18 too.
