Homeland Security Admits It Tried to Manufacture Fake Terrorists for Trump

Questioned by investigators, the agency’s chief intelligence officer acknowledged fielding requests by Wolf and his acting deputy, Ken Cuccinelli, to create dossiers “against everyone participating in the Portland protest,” regardless of whether they’d been accused of any crime, the report says. That officer, Brian Murphy, then head of the agency’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), told interviewers that he’d rejected the idea, informing his bosses that he could only “look at people who were arrested,” and adding that it was something his office had done “thousands” of times before.
So, Antifa in Portland was bullshit.

Here is what I do not understand: just for the sake of argument, lets say that the guy that the cops arrested IS in the country illegally. How would the cops know that? They said that the car is registered to the woman. If a local yokel police department can randomly scan a license plate and determine that her husband is in the country illegally.......well that's some scary Orwellian shit right there. Local police department not ICE. I thought that local police departments were not supposed to be enforcing federal laws
EDIT: does the video function not work any more? I loaded a video, but all I see is a blank screen.

It works, but the video tags are not https: so your browser may not show them. In Firefox, I can click on the 'lock' in the URL bar, and it will bring up a window that I can disable secure links for the time being.
I think Trev was fixing it a few months ago, but got distracted by something shiny.

I've seen a few vids by the Institute For Justice that there is a trend in US law enforcement to 'deputize' a local PD into the FBI or similar Federal law enforcement department in order to make the locals immune to State laws and lawsuits, because you can't sue the Feds.
That might be the reason they have access to ICE data.
