But, the British had a valid reason for not arming all of India, alot of them would have taken up arms against the British instead of just rioting and causing all kinds of trouble for them while they tried to stem the Japanese advance into the Assam.


The 'valid reason' the British had for keeping the Indians disarmed was that the Brits wanted to hold onto their empire. Period.


Yeah, they should have moved up their time line for independance just declared India independant and left them to deal with the Japanese on their own.

I`m sure the Japanese would have been willing to stop at the Burma India border and deal with Ghandi and Nehru as equals just like the they did with that other independent country the Phillipines.

That Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere was the best concept to hit the far east since the spice trade and the damn Brits screwed it up. :D<
