Trevor I think you need new memory for your server ! I regularly get this error message from time to time

yes, its been happening too often lately. There is still memory available, there is something else going on. Weird things start to happen to sites and server under heavy loads.
I have been considering buying a 3rd rackserver to spread things out more.

agreed. I get this at times of high traffic, once every couple of weeks.

May I suggest before you go buying an expensive rackserver, to just run a memory test! because this might be cause by a faulty memory stick.

I may try the newest version of PHP without the "Xcache" system that I ahve been using, see if thats more stable..
I think I will wait until sunday night though. I will be gone all day tommorow, so if something goes wrong, I can't fix it.
But i think a lot of the problems are a result of too many sites being run from the same server, and they don't play nicely with each other in memory sometimes. So buying a 3rd server I could offload all secondary sites to it and have the main server dedicated to only canadaka.net
But another server will cost 1500-2000 if I buy it and probably around $100 more a month hosting. Or I could rent one.. but they are mostly over $200+... unless i get a server in the us, which I don't want to do.

I am testing the newest version of PHP with no xcache, so please report any problems if they occur. Also report if you find load times slower.

What's wrong with hosting in the US?
