So, I went cat shopping on the weekend. Here's the new facility at Edmonton Humane Society that I was describing. It's one of their 'Adoption Rooms'. They put a bunch of cats in it that get along, and you can just walk in and pet the cats and play with them.

There are two other places, one called the 'chalet', which has access to the cats to the out doors (bottom picture, little door in the wall). And the third place are private metal cages, for the cats with 'cattitude' who don't play well with others, or are recovering from surgery etc. Those are depressing, so no pics.

I donated a lot of blood there.

If I didn't want to get bit, I should have gone looking for a hamster.

So, here's the one I added to my staff: PDT_Armataz_01_11

She was really sweet, and reacted well to the tests I had to check for a 'mouser'. Which was the position I was hiring for. She had 3 strikes against her as far as shelter adoption goes - she's 7 years old, is black, and has a bad attitude toward other cats. She spent 3/4 of a year in one of those metal cages since she was found as a stray.

Got her home, and she's a great cat! Not a speck of colour on her, except a little pink on the pads of her feet. I know I'm going to trip on her in the dark, more than once!

She's a bit of a scamp too. If she's on one side of you, and wants to be on the other side, she doesn't mind walking right across you. You were in her way, after all, right? I guess I should not have put my head on those pillows while sleeping, then she wouldn't have had to walk over my head, would she? :lol:

They called her 'Rose', so I might as well. She looks like a little bitty Panther though. <3

She's a pretty cat and Rose suits her just fine.

She's actually a smoke. Black as night primary coat, white as snow undercoat

She barfs on the carpet, and when we are looking at what she did, she proceeds to eat it. She's a monster.
