So you think things in Ontario are good right now?

I share most of the concerns you have. But in the larger scheme of things, yes. Despite our problems, there's no where else in the world that has things better in most ways that we'd measure quality of life.

"The grass is always greener...", so they say.

A flag with a simple image of a black-hole that's saturated in the tears of the people would suffice.

Not bad, I would go for dollars swirling around a broken very neon pink toilet.

I guess on that, we can agree to disagree.

And for those Ontario Liberals who screeched like wild monkeys over Harris privatizing the ETR I give you this,

BeaverFever @ Fri May 22, 2015 12:54 pm

Yep, no argument here: the Liberals are acting like Conservatives on the privatization file.

But you will still vote for them if they follow through on this won't you.

No screaming about getting rid of the Liberals, not fit to run the province, selling out to their corporate masters etc.

All things we heard from the Lib supporters when Harris did it, but now that "their" guys do it the silence is deafening.

Either way privatizing or not, electricity rates will climb even higher. Not satisfied with the highest rates on the continent, they'll push them to levels that cause even more people to struggle to pay their bill.

Guess Ontario has no other pressing issues to look at so someone had the bright idea of changing the flag. [huh]

N_Fiddledog @ Fri May 22, 2015 3:01 pm

I'm thinking something like a rainbow flag with a crescent moon.

Oh...and a watermelon. Cause you know? Green on the outside, red on the inside.

There ya go Ontario. You're welcome. I'll bill you. :D

Jabberwalker @ Fri May 22, 2015 6:37 pm

How about a nice flag with a big rainbow on it ... for Ontario's ... inclusiveness.

Something like the below then you mean?

Are you sure you don't want the crescent moon and the watermelon as well?

 You'd think you were living in Bangladesh, we have it so bad here.

Based on the fact I've had a 1 inch hole at the base of my neck after a botched surgery at the end of January, and nobody seems too fucking concerned about it while worthless 3rd world doctors won't even look at it, it's sure beginning to feel a little "Bangladeshy" here.

But you're right, OTI's idea was a little extreme. I suggest keeping the same flag only make the image look all swirly like it's going down the toilet.

Why are you bringing up her sexual orientation? If the Premier was black would you be making jokes that the flag should have fried chicken and jigaboo aunt jemima on it? I guess I'm not surprised you decided to go there even though you probably swear up and down that you're not the bigots.

Anticipating your mock outrage response in 3...2...1...

0

Jeez...what a bigot you are.

Me and Jabberwalker were just trying to put something together to "show inclusiveness", right Jabber?

Rainbow Flag, Gay Power, Woo hoo  Social Justice  .

The symbol in the centre is for the total gamut of LGBTQ so everybody can enjoy, not just the Chairwoman.

You're just mad, because I didn't add the watermelon for you. Hang on. I'll see what I can do. We're still in beta.

N_Fiddledog @ Sat May 23, 2015 12:22 am

Here ya go then Beave. Stop whining.

I even found one for your buddies, so all 3 stooges can have a symbol.

Nah, just kidding. Really it's an LGBTQ symbol for the capitals of Ottawa and Toronto, a crescent moon for York and Missisauga, an ugly windmill for what used to be beautiful farmland and a watermelon for assorted greeniacs and other communists.

I'm calling it "Inclusive Ontario".
