Just be honest about it.
Actually I can, and do quite often. I just can't find common ground with people who would treat others like they are sub-human without any valid reason. Because some outdated myth filled book tells them to. If you want to associate with people like that, that's your prerogative. I will not, and I will not find common ground with them, because there isn't any.
But feel free to put words in my mouth while you protest people doing the same to you. Hypocrite.
