DrCaleb DrCaleb:
While you have a point, there are also things the EU does for the common market...

Here's something 'The EU is doing for the Common Market.'

Fly little UK birdie, fly. Come live with us in the land of free nations where you can still meme and Thanos doesn't have to pay for every entry on his "What're you listening to" thread.

The EU will eventually wall off their subjects (I can't call them 'citizens') from the rest of the world just like the EU's predecessor the USSR did.

Socialists/Communists abhor freedom and liberty and they absolutely can't tolerate or survive parody or mockery.

Thus the EU must crack down on freedom and install state sponsored tyranny.

The only good thing I can say about the fucking EU is that those cocksuckers are well on their way to bringing the US and Russia together again to face their common enemy in Brussels.

The BBC claims memes will be exempt but I don't believe them.

Maybe at first but what progressives are calling progress these days only "progresses" in one direction - closer to a totalitarian state. Or as some of us call it - Left.

And the EU push for more and more control over the Citizenry continues:

EU says new cars must include built-in speed limiters

$1:
Every new car built after May 2022 will be fitted with anti-speeding devices to alert drivers when they break legal limits, as well as in-built breathalysers to cut out engines when drink drivers get behind the wheel.

New vehicles will need to have an Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) limiter as standard after the European Parliament agreed on new rules in Strasbourg on Tuesday.

The alert system will ensure drivers observe speed limits through GPS and road sign recognition cameras...

Yeah fuck those evil commies and their efforts to ensure people don’t die needlessly. Freedom means being able to drive drunk and/or insanely fast and kill people.

Whether we like it or not, all we're doing is delaying the inevitable. Eventually Government will control all aspects of our lives. This will become entirely possible because of Technology.

No. Freedom means you have the right to the pursuit of happiness and the responsibility to see yours doesn't interfere with the rights of others.

Incremental multi-directional deterioration leads to one ultimate destination and when you get there it will be too late to slap your head and say, "Oh...now I get it."

Britain shouldn't just Brexit, they should flexit. Fleeee!!! Exit fleeing - stage right.

Wailing against copyright enforcement on memes while pushing extensions on them for pharms? Calling the kettle 'grey', Americans. Or should i say "gray"....

Will the police have speed limiters and breathalyzers? What about the limousines that belong to the twenty-eight asswipes who really run the EU?

Of course not.

Speed limits are for peons.

Britain shouldn't just Brexit, they need to rearm and prepare to defend themselves against the eventual EU military that will absolutely be used against the UK.

N_Fiddledog @ Thu Mar 28, 2019 2:26 pm

This guy agrees with me. It isn't about safety. It's about control.

He claims the speed controller comes with a black box to track the owner's ever move.

He also makes the point if you're for this because "safety" then self-driving vehicles without steering wheels are the ultimate destination. You won't be getting a choice there either.

Too bad the last decade or so of Conservative government that effectively mothballed almost the entire British military ensured that Britain is now as much of a non-participatory/unable to defend itself state as Canada.

Makes me want to go find Donald Tusk and beat him to death before his name becomes synonymous with Napoleon, Stalin, or Hitler.

Man you sure shovel it deep some days. I don’t know what you base your nonsense on.

USSR is Russia’s predecessor not the EU’s. And Russia is today the hostile oppressive dictatorship not the EU, The EU member nations, with the exception of the Eastern European countries, are far more open and democratic than Russia ever will be and arguably more than USA has become.

Literally everything you say is the opposite.

NOTICE: Where this topic has become a catch-all for Brexit issues I updated the title.
