And they didn't win their elections in 2003.

Whoever is the boss...

I hope that these separatist traitors will fall face first on the ground in the next election. Those self-proclaimed ``real quebecers`` who think we are the coolest people on earth just beause we talk french and that independance will be like a magig spell that heals everything....

The only problem is PQ`s electoral base is composed of low income people that are able to work ( Not handicaps )Who get all the services and welfare without never paying shit.

All local artists who sucks, although some are good, and receive cash form the gvt to buy their vote,

Bluenecks (Cols Bleus) who can`t repair a fu***ng sewer cap without being 5 guys + they`re paid like 30 bucks an hour.

People who live in Gaspésie or Lac St-Jean and are completely cut off from the new modern world where language based countries are totally out of date. MODERN COUNTRIES ARE BASED ON IDEAS, NOT LANGUAGE.

(Like the 1492 reunification of Spain when Fernand D`Aragon married Isabelle de Castille to ``unite the spanish speaking catholic kingdom`` or Bismarck's Pangermanism,etc..... )

All young people bored by their dull life looking for a cause to defend but they can`t tell you a serious reason to separate except dumb shits like ``parle francais tabarnak`` and ``we don`t care about the west`s wheat...
Well they sure care about the oil now... LOL

All greedy people who just wants more cash and pull out some weird budget that say we`d be richer...1 its not true 2 even if it was is that a reason to separate? When demographic problems will hit us we`l be happy to have paid the perequation for so many years and now receive help from others just like a familly....Just like a country is supposed to work.....

Finally, and above all, those wise people on top who know it`s all bul*sh** but they just want more control to plan all in our life and shape Quebec like their aristocratic-socialist-wanne-be like France vision of the world...

Most funny is if independance is made these people will be the firsts to get their checks and candies cut cuz they don't need their vote anymore.

LONG LIVE CANADA

Nice post BigChuck R=UP

Very representative of the true reality.

Great post, super post, I’ll just twist a few words just for the hell of it, give a little “seperat” flavour. Like if it was written by a French separatist jackass instead of a Federalist one. By the way, I’m doing this just for the hell of it, I believe this a great example for something called Stereotypes.

I hope those Federalist thieves fall on their asses at the next elections. Those proud Canadians who believe that “unity” is something that can be bought. They think their so cool with their big wallet, their Rocky Mountains and their corn fields

One of the problem with the Liberals, they believe a vote is something that can be bought, that friends of the party should be showered with money. It appears that a contribution to the party can be transformed in lucrative contracts that involve virtually no work and at the end of the day they all go back to their nice houses in Westmont, Outremont and TMR.

Like the beautiful Durham report, a great piece of Canadian literature… (you should read it).

If the population of Upper Canada is rightly estimated at 400,000, the English inhabitants of Lower Canada at 150,000, and the French at 450,000, the union of the two provinces would not only give a clear English majority, but one which would be increased every year by the influence of English emigration; and I have little doubt that the French, when once placed, by the legitimate course of events and the working of natural causes, in a minority, would abandon their vain hopes of nationality.

LOL, it’s soooo true, those young French kids they sure care about the oil, the precious oil…When I walk around town and talk to the kids they keep talking about oil. Their certainly not for clean power like Hydro and wind energy “Eoliennes”, their just talking about the oil… those damn French kids, bunch of oil thirsty frenchies…

WAKE UP, it’s not all black or all white, there are stupid people in every race, religion or political believes.

But you’re right whoever the boss… some people will rally behind because they believe in an independent Quebec and some people won’t.

Man you are soo off the track and you answer me with things that aren`t even related with the subject....

You answered me : hope those Federalist thieves fall on their asses at the next elections. Those proud Canadians who believe that “unity” is something that can be bought. They think their so cool with their big wallet, their Rocky Mountains and their corn fields

I won`t lose time on the first sentences because they are opinions you can have. The rest... Did you ever heard a Canadian telling everyone one he has a big wallet, or having corn fields or making attitude because of the Rocky Mountains? Come on these are just childish things.

You answered me : One of the problem with the Liberals, they believe a vote is something that can be bought, that friends of the party should be showered with money. Damn, You`re right about the liberals they (some of them at least ) acted like asshole). How does that chance the fact i submited to separatists like you?

Guess you`re still stuck on what some moron said 150+ years ago wih that Durham report. We all know he`s a jackass. Get over it

What I meant about Alberta's oil is separatists like you can`t use some odd economic argument now. Fact stays that most of the young people are looking for a cause and most of them because separatist cause you never are so hot when you procliam federalist in Cegep + 80% of history, economy, politics are separatists and totally unneutral in the class they give almost calling the English and French 'méchants anglais and the pauvres francais'

Try answering arugments instead of starting BS that don`t make a little bit of sense.

Of course it was a joke, that post did not have any serious arguments or intentions, just a little note saying “hey, don’t you think you’re generalizing and just using stereotypes in your arguments?”

All I meant with these comments is that you can’t judge a party by analyzing just a few members, to make an allusion to the topic of this exchange, not because Boisclair used cocaine that the whole party should be associated with that. Separatist are quite aware that the entire sponsorship program was a production of a small group of Liberals. Point being that you’re stating that the electoral base of the PQ is a bunch of low income people abusing the system… Come on, that’s not the reality, the PQ is backed by citizens with various income, schooling degrees and ambitions. Just like the Libs are composed with true center-left wing members, honest and truly there to make Canada better and some of them are just trying to save their ass.

No purpose, just like trying to create a link between the lazy, overpaid, cluesless blue collar workers and the PQ. Come on, that’s just a stereotype. First of all, I think it’s a little harsh to say that all blue collar workers are lazy and all… They’re just an easy target, like the Liberal party ;-).

Of course ideas and being innovative is part of the recipe of a great country, but you also have to realize that Quebec is composed with citizens that share various ideologies and realities. We live in a province where language is important, people, like it or not, will associates themselves with their roots. So yes, modern countries are based on ideas, but we also have to compose with language… unless you agree with Durham and think that assimilating all the French would be the solution.

Amongst the young voters, separatism is not the main interest, they’re quite concerned with environmental, educational and health care issues, separatism is just anther reality their faced with and it’s up to them to decide how they feel about this question, like every other citizen. If federalism is not popular with the younger Quebecers maybe it’s related to the image it has portrayed over the last few years… more then a question of being popular or not in CEGEP.

Gabriel @ Thu Nov 17, 2005 12:50 am

bigchuck why dont you move out of Québec, you seem to hate Québec itself as much as the sovereignists themselves.. And i know you do totaly.
You talk against people from the saguenay and gaspesie. You talk against our music.. what the hell do you listen? english radio with 100% american music? oh yeah i forgot ILS L'ONT TU L'AFFAIRE LES AMARICAINS STI ! Moé chu pro canada, j'écoute la télé américaine parce que je suis un vrai canadian, j'écoute de la music américaine parce que je suis un vrai canadian. Vive les rocheuses !

I think you would be much more happy outside of Québec.
I love this place and this is where I wanna live. Québec will always have that kind of fighting. This place is like that and thats how i like it. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Gabriel I watch good tv shows or listen to good music whatever the language. But guys like you listen to french stuff because it`s french. When you hear a singer on the radion if he`s a quebecer everyone loves him more than if he was the same clone bur coming from Nova Scotia nobody would give a shit.
It`s just normal that american tv is often better cuz they have 10 times the Canadian audience and and almost 50 times the quebec's audience so 50 times the budget.

And Gabriel Don`t tell me to move out of Quebec because I love this place I just hate people like you... What the hell is wrong with the Rocky Mountains, Did you see em, Are you jealous cuz Mt.Tremblant isn`t shit compared to The Rockies?

And about the CEGEP, Come on this is an old tactic even our grandpas know. If you wanna look cool in college just start talking about politics and/or separatism even if you don't know shit about it you will be popular. You're right what change the youth's mind isn't only separatist teachers who a biased version of history but all artist who get "involved" by the political question got their checks from the PQ, of course they are for the independance.

Finally all you said all your post where just to make me understand that you can't stereotype a party or it's leader...I ain't not classifying deputees, I'm classifying ther PQ's electoral base composed in my opinion of losers and welfare addicted people
