We have had the "Cat" in net, we've had "Cujo", now we have the "Eagle".

What would be the best nickname for the next big goalie in the Leaf Organization?

How about the sieve?

Pfft...no goalie deserves a nick until he starts producin'!!!

Prove he is worthy first...then he gets a tag.

Belfour does NOT deserve the Eagle.

Eddie the Whore, he keeps laying down and letting them slide right in!!!

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepeat of the 80s.

Actually Balfour's game is picking up as he has proved over the last few games. And he is ready to take over the title of most shutouts, taking the title away from Patrick Roy.

Heres one...Vezina Trophy Winner........

14 games played,
6 wins, 6 losses, 2 ties.

Doesn't sound "exceptional".

I knew we should never have picked him up. As soon as I knew we signed him, everyone around me flashed into neon clothing and had Culture Club blasting out on thier "boom boxes".

I won't say he sucks, I mean, he is NO TREVOR KIDD, but I think it's time to start using the net to catch some lovely trout in the crystal clear lakes of Northern Ontario. But don't let him fly up there ... lord knows what happened to the last Leaf who did.

I say get that Scwabb back...he was alright. Coulda made a good Leaf.

I guess you can't live on 'coulda's.

:(

I'm not even taking into consideration the first part fo this season. I think Balfour got a lot of unnecceassry slack from the fans before he even laced his skates to play in his 1st game as a Leaf. If you look over the last 2 or 3 games, you will see where the marquee goalie in Balfour is. Don't let his less than stellar start put you in a mindset where you don't think he's worth the money. Time will tell. You can bank on it.

Do you get to watch a lot of hockey over there in Sweden ? ?

Absolutely not!

Not NHL anyway. Just their "eliteserien" BOOOOOOOOOORING!!

I live in Jonas Höglund's home town. His house is two streets away from me.

Someone give me the sign, and I'll egg it!!!!

I used to listen to Leaf games on AM 640 online. MoJo radio.

Then I got a job, and I couldn't stay up late anymore.
I am 6 hours ahead of Ontario. Therefore Leaf games start at approx. 1 am my time.

Can't be doing that and losing sleep, besides...what a waste of sleep if they lose!

I have seen five Leaf games in the past 1.5 years. Cry for me.

Dont you go to nhl.com and listen to them online?

At least youve been to one that you can remember. The only NHL game I have been to was game.3 of the 1994 Stanly Cup finals in Vancouver. I was even in a picture featured on Coaches Corner in that game. 8)
