Yup, pretty close. It means "Lake Doe" - as in female deer.

Here we can post what you like or not like about Alberta. I'll start it off.
Likes:
- numerous amounts of Tim's all over the place
- provincial electronic recycling program
- Lots of Native people around (Cree/Blackfoot Territory)
- Awesome tourist attractions
Dislikes:
- not much rain
- too much snow
- not enough mountains in Edmonton
- cities and towns too far from each other

Likes:
-Mountains are pretty much right there (only ~180km west of Calagry)
-Vancouver isn't too much farther (~1050 km, a day/day and a half drive)
-Lots of Timmys'--a good thing indeed
-dry climate--the humidity out in Montreal is brutal, year-round, wether it's +30 or -30 C out
-Generally liberal/progressive-minded demographic in Edmonton
-Edmonton: the world's coolest rockin' party town!
-Rarely gets too cold or too hot, at least in Calgary and environs
Dislikes:
-Calgary: the world's biggest bought-and-paid-for company town!
-Monolithically conservative/revanchist-minded demographic in Calgary
-Calgary in general, and especially the self-absorbed "me-me-me first/f--- everyone else" mentality
-no real "drivers" roads except for Highway 22X/66 Westbound, and Highway 1A Westbound
-most "drivers" are complete, brain-dead, testosterone-fuelled f-----g idiots, to a level that is literally dangerous
-One-party state, designed to screw working people, and working people keep buying into it...
-all the craven little wannabe-Americans--go move there, then!

Likes:
Sunsets.. there is NOTHING like an Alberta sunset.
Dislikes:
Thunderstorms... could rattle the fillings right outta your teeth.
