Here we can post what you like or not like about Alberta. I'll start it off.
Likes:
- numerous amounts of Tim's all over the place
- provincial electronic recycling program
- Lots of Native people around (Cree/Blackfoot Territory)
- Awesome tourist attractions
Dislikes:
- not much rain
- too much snow
- not enough mountains in Edmonton
- cities and towns too far from each other
Hmmmm what do I like about Alberta??? almost everything that southern part has to offer except all the lakes in the northern part, Mountains, Skiing, Outdoor trails oh and vast amounts of available motocross tracks LOL.
Dislikes: Ralph Kliens arrogant attitude, the child like dispute between Edmonton and Calgary, the government backing out of the regoinalization of ambulance services.
LOL i completely forgot about Ralph Klein...shows how much i pay attention to that guy. he sucks too..lol
<3 Ralph Klein.
Ralph Klien just scares anyonefrom edmonton because it is a Liberal areaand most these people don't know whats going on in the real world anyway
I used to back Ralph 100%, but lately he ahs been getting so errogant and thinking he is invincible that he is not thinking with regards to the majority anymore. He is doing what is in his own agenda. We went through the years and years of cuts to get this so called " debt -free" status, now lets see some rewards for those years of slashing money from health care, education, seniors etc. We are supposed to have a 43 billion dollar surplus this year and what are we going to see from it??????? NOTHING
Lethbridge has the best Chinese food.
A hotel in Red Deer has the best Sunday AM buffet.
The Medicine Hat Lodge is a nice clean place to spend a weekend with the kids. Indoor swimming pool and water slides. It also has a killer Sunday buffet.
The Writing On Stone Rodeo is a revival of the old west. A fun place to go.
The Stampeed and wave pool in Calgary are both fun places.
The West Edmonton Mall should be a place to see when in Alberta.
The mountains and parks are also things I enjoy.
I don't like the Canadian border guards. Ass holes all.
I don't like your smokes and am not too crazy about your beer. Maybe I just havn't tried enough of them yet to find a good one.
Hmmm what do you mean you can't find a good Canadian beer? That's one of the things we are famous for. It's just that all the beer in the US is too watered down.
There is so much of a difference between US Budwieser and Canadian Budwieser it is not funny. Have to try Molson Canadian or Kokanee they are two good ones, and if you are kind of a redneck then you might like Pilsner.
Since I have an issue with the Canadian border guards, and the pass port requirement, it is not likely that I will be visiting Canada any time soon. So my opportunity to check out any new Canuk beers may be limited to what is available in Montana, and that isn't too many choices.
Just because your beer has a higher alcohol content does not make it taste any better, sometimes worse. Just an observation.
Another thing I don't like about Canada are the subzero Canadian Cold Fronts crossing the border.
canadian cold fronts? Jeez elk6x6 it was t-shirt weather all winter here.
this is no shit . I began wearing my cutoffs in march. Mind you I did feel sorry for parts of the states and the maritimes they got hammered a few times. So have a Pil on me
chopper hows things around Cold Lake ? I played a lot of hockey and baseball in that area in my younger days.
It was a pretty good winter down here as well. In Jan we had about a week of -30 deg. F from a Canadian cold front. I missed it as I was on vacation in Calif. It had been raining (just a sprinkle) for 5 days and you should of heard them whine about the terrible winter storm. I just told them it was a minor inconvienienc. Any way we could use some of that rain or snow down here right now. It's pretty dry.
