I don't think there is ever going to be something that will solve bickering between Americans and Canadians, unfortunatly despite USA's massive population and army, they still feel like they have to lower themselves to fight over who's better... perhaps thats b/c they aren't... they're no better than any other country, or as an individual. Being an american or a Canadian doesn't make you any better then anyone else in the world! We're born equals. Notice I capitolized the Canadian ... cuz ... its our website therefore we're better. nuff sed

What a bunch of ungrateful bastards eh?

We take their planes in, bend over backwards to accomodate them, have 4 of our finest killed by American bombs while fighting side by side with them in Afghanistan to fight the terrorists responsible for 911 and they don't even remember us doing it.

Stop whining. It is unbecoming. You sound like Parrash.
Get off the inferior complex band wagon and quit grovelling in the dust.
Americans have thanked Canada for their efforts after 9/11. What do you want, a daily thank you for what any civilized country would have done? Whats the big deal about allowing the planes to land here? Did it put you you in harms way?
Uncle Joe had a fix for grovelling whiners.
So pointing out that Canadian's sacrifices are quickly brushed aside and forgotten by Americans because we didn't support Bush's quagmire in Iraq is whining?
Well excuuuuuuse the fuck out of me then.
I'll look forward to seeing you calling out the pro-Bush crowd when they start in about how we didn't help out in Iraq.
You best get started on that mmmkay?
Chop chop now...
And I hate to break this to you there comrade but this isn't Russia.
Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili is about as pertinent here as the piss I just took.

Consider yourself excuuuuuused lest you cannot sleep tonight. Croton never got involved in Iraq because the polls told him Quebec was 84% against it. As goes Chirac's France goes Quebec. The ROC was marginally in favour for helping your American cousins.

In Stalingrad, now renamed, we understand the meaning of solidarity.

When was the last "Legal" war? Vietnam was a police action.

Viet-Nam was a non-Congressionally-declared WAR - even Johnson and McNamara referred to it in terms of "war".
KOREA was referred to as a "Police Action"!

If your memory doesnt go back farther than the rock-group "Police", go read some History....

IZZATTAFACT???

In his Speech to the Nation after 9-11 when he thanked everyone in the World, short of Lower Slobovia, did he mention Canada?

How many Presidents do you have to go back, until you find ONE that didn't make his first "Official State Visit", to Canada?

How many candidates for President would not even KNOW the name of our Prime Minister?

Who put in place the new American Ambassador Wilkens to Canada, a guy who dimisses us and our Softwood Lumber concerns as "Too emotional" (like we are having a PMS day or something)?

Go sing "God Bless America" in your basement.....

My View on bashing of Americans,

Putting down or bashing of any group of people is not a nice thing to do and not very "Canadian".

But we and others often loose sight of the difference between the American Government and the American people.

So most of the time "American Bashing" is bashing of the government.

BUT with that said, the government is supposed to be a representitive of its people. But even though over 50% of American's voted for the current government i don't think the current administration is a good representation of Americans.

Americans should not be suprised or wonder why people from Canada or other countries might bash or have negative views of there country, its not rocket science...

The administration has made the fading popularity of the US very bad, from continuely disregarding international law, the UN and NAFTA to its military forign policy, all of which the US had leading rolls in creating!!!

This way the administration projects itself to the world, and someone wonders why people might have negative reactions to that?

So all over the world people have negative views of the US, but they also make the mistake of directly translationg those views of the administration to its people.

BUT and this is the big one, if the people of the US don't like the way people from other countries view them and sometimes treat them when they are abroad, THEY and only THEY have the power to change that. they can elect new government and force new policy. And communicate with people from other countries showing true American nature, like some of you American members do on this site all the time, showing us that most Americans arn't a reflection of the bush administration

The way the US acts externaly now though, its no surprice there is some American bashing going on here and literaly eveywhere. With that said this site does not promote or support American bashing, there are other sites that do.

Google Korea police action and from over 5 million hits you can help yourself.

In 1999, President Clinton declared Korea not a police action but a war.
Uncle Joe would have declared that rewriting history.

in the first post of you I have quoted here, you say vietnam was a police action. are you now saying that vietnam was infact a war, and calling korea police action? because this would be nearly a complete turn around in your opinion you know eh?

Well they may not be bashing us (<cough>BS), but they are trying to kill us. Now we have Canadians in Iraq joining the insurgency of terrorists trying to kill Americans. They don't have the balls to come across the border and try it, so they do it in a sneaking way. Let's hear it for the Canadian Terrorists. Men of principle, men of the Islam Extreme.

Are you under the impression that there are no al Qeada members with American citizenship? Do you think that non of these insurgents could possibly hold American citizenship? Are you really that ignorant??? Or just trying to stir some shit on this website
