On a more serious note, I deal with American business owners all day long. One thing I have noticed, is that they don't say goodbye to end a phone call. Not in rudeness, just out of custom. I have found this to be true in about 90% of the cases. With receptionists it is always uh huh, and they hang up. I now no longer say goodbye to end a conversation, even during important calls.

By the way, I make my entire living off of American customers, and as with our country, they come in every shape and size. I just thought it would be fun to look at the stereotypes.

Thats the only real difference I see, besides the meals in restaurants are freaking huge, but im completely biased on this subject.... :wink:

Anyway, I've always wondered why American's think Iced Tea is simply tea served cold.
Because that's what it originally was. Then it got mass sugar added to it and made it the fake shit everyone drinks now.

Correction to what I had previously posted we do on the same day as rememberance day but the WWI aspect of it is so down played that its humilateing. IMO.

We have Nov.11 to commemorate the end of the war which cost Canada the greatest number of lives in our history. You had memorial day to commemorate the end of the war which cost your country the greatest number of lives your history (Civil War). Seems like a fair trade.

The difference as I've been told is that Veterans Day is to pay tribute to living soldiers of wars past and current and Memorial Day is for those who gave their lives in service of their country.
