Bush, Cheney, Rice and company ...Heads in the sand
The Dark Canuck The Dark Canuck:
The only problem with yours is that they would be looking down from paradise at a country going to hell and wishing they could help in some way.
Wrong. But anyway, we've come full circle so should we move on?
USA will destroy their culture. This is the baddest thing that can happen.
No, not really. The really Baddest thing that can happen is this: The USA destroy the Irakian culture, and implant the USA culture to Irakians. That's the baddest thing that can happen.

Hey there Dark..Firstly I am not defending what the coalition of the braindead is doing over in Iraq but, imagine what would have been said if the media had the instant access to numbers during WWII. Could you possibly imagine the outcry over the civilian deaths during the battle of Britain or the bombings of Dresden? What about live coverage of the US carpet bombings in Vietnam. These were, basically, secret wars. Nobody knew what was actually going on.
The media has us as their puppets. They tell us what to think and how to act. We have been brainwashed by technology and are all too stupid to change the friggin' channel.
By this logic, during WWII we would have instantly known about the amount of jews and ruskies being exterminated in the concentration camps. We would know the way conquered people were being treated, ie. destroyed, exterminated, genocide. These reasons would have been enough to unite the allies against the huge threat.
Just like the knowledge of Saddam's own genocide has united everyone against him?
Just like the knowledge of the US' own genocide has turned it's own people againts it?

I thought before I spoke. You may not agree with my thoughts, but I;'ve read enough about America's own genocide to formulate my own opinions. If you need a reference, me and you have already had this exact same debate on some ubscure thread a long time ago. Not worth going through again. As I recall, that ended with you simply not replying.
American genocide?
And anyway, the car you added to that argument train did not fit.
It was just you bashing America for no reason whatsoever.

American genocide?
Aye, American genocide.

Calling it American Genocide is stretching it a little bit thin. The U.S don't go out of their way to kill a specific race in mass killings.

Just to show me that you have no idea what you're talking about and have chosen the life path of ignorance? By all means, dig.

How is it not genocide? Over the years, tens of thousands have died as a result of American intervention. Again, I'm not going to go into the dead forums to dig up the reference sites I used.

How many more have lived? How many have died because people
haven't intervened?

Sorry Canuck that is not Genocide its called casualties of war.
This is Genocide - The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group. I dont see Americans doing that. Genocide requires critical thinking and planning. I dont see the U.S army doing much "thinking" nor the administration.
