No, I'm saying that the way you posted is as though NO ONE AGREES WITH YOU! And of course, no one really does.

It is absolutely true that American education curricullum does not offer enough Canadian studies. This should be improved. However, as someone who has spent some time watching our friends "north of the border", I think it might be to Canada's advantage that most Americans are not paying attention. I have noticed that there is a ton of irrational hate for all things American. Any reader of a certain Toronto paper will get a near daily dose of venom aimed toward your southern neighbors. I've also noticed that facts get pretty twisted in the translation when the US is involved. A clear example is in the way this thread started...there was a rant about Mad Cow and how the cow found in Canada was a US cow. I wasn't surprised to read yet another bit of twisted truth but the fact remains that the cows found on both sides of the border originated in Alberta-born and raised there! I have seen countless examples of this kind of thing and the Canadian news media plays a major role. What I don't understand is why this kind of thing occurs with such regularity. There is not currently any significant anti-canadian sentiment in this country...but that could soon change if the average American starts paying attention.
