Hold on, I can't hear you over the cracklin' o' the burnin' cross.

"Land of Freedom" my ass.

"Freedom for all!!" *just not you-all*

Wow, way to don the ol' white robe right out in public.

Please provide links to documented Klan activities in major metropolitan areas of the United States.

If you cannot, I can only assume that this is a straw man argument.

I saw a documentary on CBC last year where there was a Klan rally in Downtown Cleveland Canuck.

carpediem @ Mon Mar 21, 2005 5:20 pm

Former_Canuck. Use google you will get the links you request. The rally was in 1999.

You've just opened yourself up for that one.

Ask them yourself, since you seem so eager for information.

http://www.kkk.bz/index1.htm

"There are 5 regional Klan groups"
"A. The Knights is the oldest, largest, and most active Klan organization in America. In fact The Knights is the only national Klan organization in existence and has Klansmen and Klanswomen in all 50 states and almost every area."

I apologize, I just realized that I put on a Klan link, whoops.

Found it with google though, so I guess its not that hard to find. Believe me the Klan trys to hold rallies in every major city every year.

They are in every city in the states. Go outside and look for them, I'm sure they'll take you in with open arms. Then you can go off shooting your pistolas, and put on a nice suit and go on out to the local republican meetings.

Big deal. So the groups exist - that's not a surprise. But if their last major rally was in 1999, one could only conclude that they do not have popular support in the USA.

former_canuck,

Take your time and do your research before making comments that have no substance. There has been other rally's in April 2004, May 2004, Oct 2004 and February 2004.

WHO CARES? No matter how you look at it, they are a fringe group that has no widespread support in the USA.

A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)

Here you go Michaelredeagle just perfect for you!

I don't think Michael was referring to 'changing the subject'. He was referring to that fact that Canada was discussed in previous post. I agree though that the KKK is a fringe group. But it's also a issue in all countries, not just the U.S.

Former_Canuck

I only gave you the data because you were making ignorant assumptions that there were no more rally's going on. I guess I'm guilty of informing you. Sorry about that.

Thats fine just feel that quote fits mike perfectly

Canadaka @ Tue Mar 22, 2005 3:59 pm

why the sudden spurt of right wing posters, american and canadian.

its nice to have both points of view in topics, but most you guys come in here to start a fight. and all you can seem to talk about is the US. Its been discussed so much here its getting a bit tiring. there is more to the world and life.
