Question periodandthe Beach Combers was great! Embarassed I actually liked those shows. Embarassed

Good for you. Shows like question period actually do give people an idea of whats going on in government. I didn't watch very often because I was not that interested in politics. That was my mistake!
I watched Beach Combers with my three oldest kids when they were about 6,8 and 9. Good family show that we all enjoyed. My oldest son sometimes teases me about watching every Sunday night.

Excuse me? Whining teenage asshole? I actually happen to be in the British army you sad little fuck, so maybe I know a thing about soldiering. And yes, we really are the best. I'm not saying anything about honour or shit like that, I'm just pointing out that, having worked with American soldiers, I find them the most undisciplined, unprofessional soldiers I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Whining indeed.

The Aussies are man for man the best. Canadians, before the goverment ruined them were second best. I worked with British Marines in suffield alberta and they were fat and slow. and lazy and 1 Regular force Canadian "today" could out soldiers 10 of them. American soldiers are the best equiped in the world and there is a lot of them. Not to mention air power and sea power.

Ok its time for you to whine limy.

You taught school for 30 years and you don't know what a "technical trade" is?

Sorry O Great One:
I taught Highschool Math and Science and not "technical trade" and so I suppose that invalidates my whole point! B.S.
By the way, I was in the U.S. last summer visiting friends. How does Question Period and Beach Combers differ from watching some of the stuff on Fox News Net and Fox.
My whole point is that Canadians don't all "watch American TV, wear American cloths, listen to American music." In fact, Americans don't wear american clothing. A friend bought me a shirt while I was there and it was made in Vietnam. About "technical trade" I don't know as I have no experience there and would not venture to respond. Perhaps someone else will.
Question period???, but the Beach Combers was great!
The only comment I can make about the CBC is its T.V. for when the lights are on and someone is home!

Robert Clothier was known to television audiences across Canada and around the world for his long-running role as "Relic," the log-pilfering curmudgeon, in the hit CBC series The Beachcombers.

I am not sure what point you were trying to make with this thing about Robert Clothier. He was just an actor making a living. Much like the Shakspherian actor who played "Fonzi" on Happy Days I am sure he would have prefered a serious role, but did it to make a living. Being 10 times larger, It is possible to find at least 10 times as many stupid shows on U.S T.V as it is on Canadian T.V. People watch T.V. to be entertained. Probably better than the entertainment a lady I know had (from the southern U.S.) )who went, with a picnic basket, to watch a hanging as a little girl. Bread and circuses.

I am not sure what point you thought I was trying to make or what point your making.

I think Robert Clothier and Reta NcNeil are two of the best examples of Canadian entertainers that the CRTC ever produced! God bless the 40% content law!

Ranman
I like Rita McNeil. Nice music. Robert Clothier- well, he was an actor on a show I used to watch with my kids. He's dead now! We also used to watch Loony Tunes together. That Daffy was quite a guy. I do have a point. It's I watched Beach Combers, which was also on the air in the U.S. at the time I beleive (can't be too sure about that, but thats what I heard.) It's just a show. Rita McNeil is just a singer, who ownes a Tea House someplace in Nova Scotia. It does not matter if you like her or not, I do and at least some other people do too! So, again, whats your point? Are you against content rules? Why? Are you against the CRTC? Why?

And where was the DEW line, by the way?
Are you trying to say that the DEW line was the USA protecting Canada? Hardly, more like Canada in partnership with the USA to protect NA. Seriously give me an example of the USA protecting Canada. If it's legitimate I'll concede.

It's that old togetherness thing, Ruez.

Canada and America, arm in arm; facing the world like two brothers.

You remember, don't you? That old friendship that died in 2001.

Jaime_Souviens @ Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:05 pm

I guess Ruez doesn't remember....

I know you couldn't care less about sacraficing other peoples kids but the Liberals did and that just pisses you off...

You've been hitting this theme for about a week now. Do you have any particular idea in mind here, or is this just more random crap bouncing around inside that cavernous head of yours?

You seem to want to be criticizing me for something, but nobody knows what it is.

Avro Avro:
Btw, that avatar of yours......is that your wife?

That's me, I thought I'd put a personal picture up.

Avro Avro:
If you can't figure it out I can't help you Slowviens, can't make it any clearer.

So it IS random crap in your vast, empty head. Thought so.

Avro Avro:
So you're an ugly cross dresser.....good for you. :D

Freak!!

Always a class act, Avro.

Be sure to tell the counselors you feel you're improving.
