I actually found the whole thing hilarious! For those here who get all upset and angry, lighten up! It's called satire and some things were close to the truth! Thats what made it so funny! Canadian culture is based on anti-Americanism, for some on this site that is 100% true! For some in the Liberal party, the same! 8O

Anti-American Liberal party? Hardly. The very best relations we had with the US were in the Chretien-Clinton years.

At least the Liberals aren't the US lap dogs the cons are following blindly at their heels hoping to get a few treats now and then.

Canadian TV is retarded.

The CRTC/Reta McNeil is retarded.

The Canadian millitary is non exsistent.

The Canadian dollar is sad.

Quecbec cons the whole country trying to reverse the results of the war between France and England.

Canadians watch American TV, wear American cloths, listen to American music, Give what it has for a army american equipment, learns technical trades from American books...etc....

Who should be thanking who?

The U.S should be thanking Canada for being its neighbour.Just think if Russia,or China was your neighbour.
If a little island named Cuba can get your feathers ruffled...

Very well said!

Actually, I don't watch American TV,(the only foreign show I watch regurally is Coronation Street, because my wife likes it) I listen to music from mostly Canada and also music from around the world and my clothing, last time I checked was made in China, Vietman and Pakistan! I taught school for almost 30 years and all the text books used were Canadian.

You taught school for 30 years and you don't know what a "technical trade" is?

Because if your saying you taught a technical trade for 30 years and all the books were Canadian your full of it.

If your saying you taught something else for 30 years then you can't read and understand at the same time "learns technical trades from American books".

Why are you so ignorant?

Well now, there were more Canadian and British soldiers at Normandy than Americans, so you can shove saving private ryan up your ass. Furthermore the only reason no one hears much from the Canadian military is because, unlike the yanks, they don't feel the need to bomb any country that proposes to disagree with them. Or use weapons against us that we sold them in the first place. And American soldiers are just plain shit anyway. So to say the Canadian military is non-existant speaks of ignorance, not to mention pointless bravado that makes you look like a twerp.

Sorry O Great One:
I taught Highschool Math and Science and not "technical trade" and so I suppose that invalidates my whole point! B.S.
By the way, I was in the U.S. last summer visiting friends. How does Question Period and Beach Combers differ from watching some of the stuff on Fox News Net and Fox.
My whole point is that Canadians don't all "watch American TV, wear American cloths, listen to American music." In fact, Americans don't wear american clothing. A friend bought me a shirt while I was there and it was made in Vietnam. About "technical trade" I don't know as I have no experience there and would not venture to respond. Perhaps someone else will.
Question period???, but the Beach Combers was great!
The only comment I can make about the CBC is its T.V. for when the lights are on and someone is home!

For each dollar Canada does not spend on defence the USA has to spend other. The Canadian goverment relies on this and uses money the should be spent on defence to get re-elected and to "please" Quebec. If there was a war Canadian would be caught with its pants down.
Could you please give me an instance when Canada has been defended by the USA? Or how about directing me to exactly how they are protecting us? Last time I checked the US had no bases nor men stationed here. Not to mention the glaring fact that we haven't been attacked or threatened by anyone. I guess I should thank the USA for that?

Right. No bases.

I don't know what all those B-52's were doing over Canadian skies for 50 years, but no bases.

And where was the DEW line, by the way?

Robert Clothier was known to television audiences across Canada and around the world for his long-running role as "Relic," the log-pilfering curmudgeon, in the hit CBC series The Beachcombers.

Oh, and one final point, whining that our Army is better than your Army, or that we did more fighting than you did, or that our dead are more honorable than your dead, just makes you sound like a raging teenage asshole. You might want to look into that.
