I think Marc should be ignored, I thought he had some interesting points of view, but I realize he just wants to provoke a reaction to anything remotely even mentioning Québec. It's getting tiresome. Obviously he enjoys baiting the people here.

   

Le problème c'est que nous payons des impôts au Canada, si je paye des impôts et des taxes, je veux en avoir pour mon argent. Donc je veux le passeport et tout le reste. Ça ne fait pas de moi un Canadien pour autant, je sais ce que je suis, il faut être drôlement prétentieux pour me dire à moi de quelle nationalité je devrais me considérer !

Mais je suis honnête malgré tout, je me dis que je voudrais payer mes impôts à 100% au Québec, pour ne plus dépendre d'un pays étranger pour gérer mon argent.

I'm paying taxes to Canada, so I want to get services for that. I want the passeport and everything else. That does not mean I'm Canadian, I know who I am. It is so pretentious to tell me from which nationality I should consider myself !

At least, I'm honest, I would like to pay 100% of my taxes to Québec, so we would not depend on a foreign country to manage our money.

Also, both humorists are sovereignists, so, I'm not talking for them, but there is very big chances that they don't want to be Canadian.

   

well seeing as the nation of Quebec doesn't exist....... You live in a Canadian province, have a Canadian passport, were likely born in Canada, pay Canadian taxes....sorry you're a Canadian...a poor example of one, but a Canadian nonetheless.

Pas vraiment. Si tu regardes de mon point de vue deux secondes : Deux humoristes Québécois font une joke et toute la planète en entend parler. Les deux gars sont des pures nationalistes québécois, et c'est vrai que nous avons une culture d'humoristes !

Pis là, des Canadiens disent, "hurray, we are so bad, we are a prankster nation !"

Mais cette personne là comprend pas que nation Québécoise n'égal pas nation canadienne. C'est un genre de colonialisme national ça. On accepte que peut-être vous formez une nation, mais dans les faits, vos exploits sont nos exploits, vos fêtes sont nos fêtesr, votre histoire est notre histoire, votre culture est notre culture. C'est ça qui me dérange.

Mais bon tu as peut-être raison après tout. Ce genre de mentalité ne s'effacera pas avant la séparation, et je devrais sans doute cesser de me faire d'illusions.
