Killah, what the hell is wrong with you? I came on the site trying to help you out and insulate you from some stuff I thought was being said unfairly to you, but man...I think I've been a chump. Please...take a step back and think about what you are doing. You look ridiculous! It's embarassing.

Twila...a fellow Disney freak? I go down to WDW at least once a year...sometimes twice. It's something you'll never outgrow...if you are lucky. It's a place where you can check reality at the gate and not deal with it again until it's time to go home.

Twila I used to live in Huntington you know ,obviously where that is just a bit from Sumas USA. Anyways about the eagles every morning my buddy and I would walk down to Timmies at Zellars for coffe. And there would be two of them every morning sitting on a brance over the road. I just loved it. It almost seemed they were waiting for Rod and I just to say ''morning'' that is one thing I do miss about bc.
And Wingnut TY for your post giving killah hell he most certainly deserved it

You know what I love about the States? New Orleans! I went down for Mardis Gras in 1990....best time ever! When I fully recover from the experience I'll let you know :D

My favorite place in all of Canada has to be the Citadelle in Quebec City. I love Europe and that is a place that makes me feel like I'm there without having to endure a 7 hour transatlantic flight. Haven't seen all of Canada, to be fair, but I've seen a lot of it. QC seems to be the one place in Quebec where they don't mind if you speak English too.

The happiest place on earth. We need a place like that. I feel bad for people who are unable to experience it for themselves.

Marlins75 @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:33 pm

I experienced it myself this summer and it was crap. Whoever thought up the statement of "happiest place on earth" must've been smokin too much. First of all, in August it was +45 outside! I couldn't even freaking breath. Next is the price of things: 7$ for one lousy hot dog? And that's American! Thirdly, since it's so hot you need to either buy a 5$ bottle of water or use the fountains. I used the fountains and the water was warm! Sick. Fourthly, you can't smoke outside? So I had to sneak around like I was doing drugs, hoping not to be seen by janitors wearing dixie hats! Lastly, is the lineups. 1.5 hours we waited for one ride. What a joke. And even if you use expresspass, you need to wait 3 freakin hours before you have a chance to use that ride. The whole California experience was crap. The traffic, the cell phones, the rudeness, the smog, the slurpees, the phonyness of life in general there. And I did not see one baywatch babe at the beach! Actually, I felt like throwing up when I visited Venice Beach. If you want to see a dive, go there. That is the last time I spend my hard earned cash in the U.S. I'll keep her here from now on.

Wingnut1 @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:57 pm

Never been to the one in California...it's tiny and in the middle of smog-ridden Los Angeles (Anaheim, I know)...so it never has interested me. But I go a lot to the one which is 20 miles east of Orlando. It's spread out, lots of water and trees, very fresh air, etc. Hot dogs there are $3, water is $3 (you don't WANT to drink from the fountains)...and while it isn't the cheapest place on earth, it doesn't have to be...everything you could possibly want is in one place. Transportation is free so there's no cost involved for that either.

August is a horrible time to go to Walt Disney World...anything past May and before October 15th is nuts. Hot, too many people, and just not a good time. I'm going down for the Daytona 500 in February...always I stay at the Disney Resort, it's only like 40 minutes away from the speedway. The temperature is rarely above 75F, it's always a very pleasant break from the ice and snow...and I can't imagine anybody outside of the tightest of tightwads having a problem with it. Stuff costs money man...

Ever been to Skydome Marlin? A hotdog at a Jays game, last time I went cost $5...and the entertainment was pretty questionable.

Marlins75 @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 1:00 pm

No, but went to a game in Anaheim. 6.50$ for a watered down beer in a plastic cup! So I spent around 75$ CDN there, but nice place. Been to Expos games when I visit my bro. How is Comerica Park. I think it's tha nicest stade of them all.

Rosco @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 2:02 pm

California, Disneyland and L.A. were all unbelievably top notch for me, IMO if you can't have fun there you can't have fun anywhere. L.A.'s vaunted traffic problems and rudeness are exaggerated, I think many cities have long surpassed L.A. on both those counts, in fact I had less problems with traffic and rudeness there than I do here in Vancouver.

One much hyped American city that didn't impress however is Las Vegas, I don't know why since I love the Southwest, the heat {I'm cold if it's less than 30C}, Latinas, and high energy nightlife but I never really took to Vegas even though just about everyone else I know loves it. I might take a job there in the summer though provided the money's right.

Wingnut1 @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 2:57 pm

Comerica Park is ok...it's a cave though. They need to do something with the fences there. It cheats a lot of good hitters out of home runs. Beer there is like $7 US for a watered down Budweiser, but if you go to a stand out toward the rightfield corner, they have Canadian and Molson Ice which is NOT watered down. Usually, I'll just grab a beer across the street at the Hockeytown Cafe after the game...it's about $2.50 for a big mug of draft Heineken.

Vegas is a place you'd best take a wheelbarrow full of money to. Place is way overblown. Lots of people like it...beats me as to why.

Marlins75 @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 4:31 pm

I guess the worst part Rosco was the heat. Me and my Canuck blood couldn't handle her. We get in the high 30's in Regina during summer, but in the middle 40's I couldn't take her.

feeko @ Wed Dec 31, 2003 4:38 pm

as for rude americans....hasnt this happened everywhere?...my personal opinion is too many rats in a cage and thier gonna fight.

OH yeah forgot about 'norleans....mm best place to go out to dinner I ever visited...even if it does smell.....the only thing I disliked about 'norleans
was I felt I had to keep an eye as to who and what was going on around me

[ crime].....that and if ya go to far you wind up in a crappy part of town quick....

I dont doubt yer womens are good lookin.....

" how much'

HOW MUCH FOR YOUR WOMEN? i WANT TO BUY THEM!"
