Peace will never actually happen unless humanity truly evolves to a more transhuman state.

Peace will never exist due to a multitude of reasons, most of which end up at human nature as the source.

Until the collective minds of humanity evolve, there will never be peace.

When the Vulcans ask us to join the federation of planets. Mind you we all would still have to fight the Klingons.

I want to hear your idea's,how do we get world wide peace?
Seems like lots of the wars are religious.
There's room on this big ball for all of us.
Suggestions?
Comments?

Can we ever achieve world wide peace or are we just pissing into the wind?

Thoughts?
Now, aren't you sorry you asked.

I already got reamed a new arsehole when I said this a couple of months ago, but peace on earth will not come until humanity moves past religion. When the world is ridded of religion, humanity will stand a chance.

It's religion. It's a simple fact. One day, humans will no longer follow religions. They will no longer delude themselves with ancient cults. They will no longer kill their brother over whose god is the real god. World peace will NEVER exist before ALL religion is eradicated from human sociology.

Great, another Religion=War idiots you see often. It is very, VERY rare to have religion be the cause of war. Hell, even the Crusades were not "religion" wars, but wars with religious overtones, since the Crusades was actually started by the Byzantine Emperor requesting assistance from the Pope to kick the Moors out of their territory.

Also, World World I, World War II, basically all of the Arab-Israeli wars(plenty of religious overtones, but few reality the wars was over land), the War on Terror, Gulf Wars I and II, the Iran Iraq War, the Russo-Japanese War, the Korean War, the Boer War, The War of 1812, the Franco-Prussian War, the Vietnam War, the American Civil War, Seven Years' War, and the list goes on.

So, pray tell, how will ending religion end war?

War is as natural to humans as peace is. Don't expect the urges behind war (i.e. religion, nationalism, greed, pride bordering on dementia, etc.) to disappear anytime soon.

Ask me again. Ask me nicely, without calling me an idiot, or go piss up a rope.

Fine, pray tell how will ending religion end war? I truly hope your answer is as rational as your original post, because so far all I've seen is anti-religion bigotry and ignorance of history.

Why would I ask nicely when all I've seen so far of your topic statement of sorts is ignorant bigotry when religion, especially in modern times, have played a a very small role in warfare.

So if you will not explain yourself, then all you have is the bigotry you provided us in your main statement, I will call you upon it, because that what it is, and unless you can actually provide support to your statement, that's all it will be.

I have no desire to ask a bigot nicely for his opinion, and "religion=war thus ending religion=ending war" is a very tired, very false statement, only used by anti-religion bigots (or you can narrow it down to anti-*insert specific religion here*, depending on the topic).

I haven't said anything bigoted, nor have I said anything about history. But that doesn't matter to you. Rather than waiting to hear what I have to say, you jumped right to calling me "ignorant of history" and a "bigot". That makes you a troll and I'm not going to engage in debate with a troll. As Neil Peart so eloquently wrote "Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. Ignorance and prejudice and fear walk hand in hand."

I believe there is a historical precedent for the proper application of nuclear force bringing a rather rapid end to war.

Also, could we stop using the term "bigot" as an insult? I am rather proud myself to discriminate against viewpoints which I believe to be incorrect. It is not inherently a bad thing to do so.

To quote you.

"It's religion. It's a simple fact. One day, humans will no longer follow religions. They will no longer delude themselves with ancient cults. They will no longer kill their brother over whose god is the real god. World peace will NEVER exist before ALL religion is eradicated from human sociology."

You made statements that world peace will never exist before all religion is eradicated. Now, unless you have some idea about religion having some historical precedent in being a major contributor to warfare, you have little leg to stand on. If you're not willing to stand to a harsh challenge to prove yourself correct then so be it. Maybe I used extreme words in my counter statement to you, but your original statement was just as extreme. So unless you do not believe that saying all religion must be eradicated from human sociology as an insult to those who believe in religion, or some higher power, then you should realize your words were just as extreme, and as such, I responded with such extreme language.

So if you truly believe what you say, you should further explain your rather extreme beliefs. I judge you by your words, and nothing more. Unless your beginning statement has some actual fact or intelligent reasoning behind them, I will see them as such. If I said any such harsh language, I would expect harsh language in return, so either you can accept my offer, or you don't, attempting to make me into the troll with your beginning words is nothing but a farce, especially if you believe those words were justified.

Pissin in the wind im afraid. The powers that be have been staging events purely for manipulation purposes toward a greedy, selfish agenda. People in powerful places have been slitting the throats for upward mobility ever since the egyptians. They were kinda like klingons of star trek, killing the captain made u captain. If 911 was staged it was to send ppl to iraq for some other purpose. If the great depression was conjured by the banking system for control of the money, if kennedy was shot because he believed in a society of social programs, If lennon was shot to remove an icon from the rebellious hippies, if, if, if and i believe its all true and ill say that the vietnam war was a drafted war, sighting 18-25yrs olds or the hippy generation, many fled to canada etc.. if and again i believe it all to be true and i believe that chemtrails are more a population control and food control program to kill off and weaken the masses.. etc.. Then we are up against a big and powerful and resourceful enemy.

I dont believe voting does any good. It affirms that we believe in voting and that the people we vote for are necessary. GO VOTE they say and mooo we do. If there is so much control in the world how can the vote be uncontrolled. Some say obama is chaneys cousin, obama put a webpage up for enlisting into the army... i thought he said troops were coming out.

since i was a kid ppl hated government and today 30 yrs later they still do. I read of great ppls uprisings and the cops they fight just to say their opinion. This is the legacy that people condone through voting.

the problem is actually the system that the government and world powers serve, the system of capitalism. The world will never be healed by ppl who do everything for the buck. They are of the wrong mindset. You do not fine companies for polluting u shut them down till the situation is fixed. You do not punch holes in the atmosphere with rockets then offer daily trips to orbit the planet, thats money talking when rockets should all be grounded and lets put that money into sustainable energy... capitalists will never do this and they wont build a park either because that costs money to maintain with no capital coming back in.

see the problem.. jesus christ is not a capitalist in fact he railed against it and descried usury. the love of money is the root of all evil... trust me, christ is not a capitalist.

Did you hear that? Capitalism is the problem! Rise against your oppressors, proletariat! The bourgeoisie shall fall, and that right soon!
