I want to hear your idea's,how do we get world wide peace?
Seems like lots of the wars are religious.
There's room on this big ball for all of us.

Can we ever achieve world wide peace or are we just pissing into the wind?
Thoughts?

Just for shits and giggles could you point out which wars are because of religion?
well we could start by doing away with the ideas of radical religious cells and have all churches and other such groups held accountable to a head office like the vatican.
Groups like the Westboro baptists would die out pretty quick if they had to justify their views in front of any moderate religious group.

So you think we should restrict peoples freedoms?

my plan for peace is a simple three step process... before anything of much importance gets done in the world, people (or those in power who decide such things) need to answer three simple questions. they are as follows:
1. am i happy?
2. am i doing good?
3. am i keeping my hands to myself?
until the answer is 'yes' for all three questions, then a decision should not be made in matters regarding the welfare and livelihood of any number of people.

To an extent if they are proving to be nutbags. That's the difference between Canada and the US we won't stand by and allow groups like the Westboro baptists to roam our streets. Any group that mongers hate will be escorted off public areas.
We have freedom in Canada but we also tend to believe that everyone should follow the laws of common sense. That's why our charter of rights and freedoms has a reasonable limits clause. We keep an eye on groups that seek to spread hate or disorder against others and act against them.
Genetic modification. One world order.
kill all the humans.
War is over land. The current activity in the ME is over land, not religion. Religion may be a rallying cry for some, but in the end it is who holds more property.
I seriously doubt we`ll see an end to the current troubles in the Middle East anytime soon. Both sides are politically polarized and opinions entrenched. The Arabs will continue to pick at Israel and Israel will continue to smash them. It is a viscious cycle that neither side is able to break free from.
Why is that Arabs(Christian, Muslim and Druze) who hold Israeli citizenship(20% of the total population of Israel) seem so well adjusted in comparison to all the others in the region? They serve(app. 5 000 - 6 000) in the IDF(volunteers as opposed to conscripts like the Jews and Druze). 2/3(primarily the Druze and Muslim Arabs) stated they would keep their Israeli citizenship even if a Palestinian state is created with only 14% claiming they would renounce their Israeli citizenship. How is it, and why is it that they live in peace and prosperity with the Jewish Israelis?

I don't know. Honestly, it makes so little sense to me. Israel is not going anywhere so get used to it and sort out how to get along. You're right, Arabs living in Israel have figured out how to do this, so why can't the others?

As Shep pointed out, the issues in the middle east are about land, but they are fueled by religion, economics, politics, and tribalism.
The various civil wars in Africa are also more about land, resources, and ethnic hatred than religion.
Historically, there are few wars about religion.
