They actually had a beer vending machine, the only one I've ever seen... I remember seeing a soldier (in uniform), buying a beer at 6 in the morning. 8O


I got a tour of HMCS Regina when it was in Yokohama as part of a deployment with a US carrier task force and they had beer vending machines - they even let me buy a couple!

No, but compared to the price in Tokyo, the were fairly cheap - IIRC they were about $2 each.

Been a while for this thread....

I was at FHC's Skyfair this weekend in Everett, WA and I saw this and had no idea what it was. Nor did my friend who has a much better eye for planes than I do.

I was going to say that I recognized a few Italian features but your picture detail gives it away as an AS42-1 recon vehicle. It also looks like the vehicles that tow aircraft around at airports!
