Now, noone laugh but it has to be Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morrisette.

Every song on that album was at least good if not great. Too often an album will have only one or two good songs, but I can listen to that CD from start to finish and not have to skip any tracks. I think its that quality that truly makles a great album.

I know a lot of people (mainly men for some odd reason) who have felt the same way. They'll go on about how the only types of muisc they don't like are "Country and Western", yet will sing along with many of the songs from her album, word-for-word.

I actually have to change that around abit.

My faves are:

1. BNL - Gordon
2. Shania Twain - Come On Over

Can you really think of a Canadian band that can use Canadian words (ie: Chesterfield) in a song and still get lots of recognition south of the border?

I would have to say Barenaked Ladies, any of them. I have seen them in concert 5 times! *before their big move to usa*

I would also like to mention Blue Rodeo, Five Days In July.

Loved it!!!

So rythmic.

I'd have to nominate the album 'Naveed' from Our Lady Peace as being one of the best Canadian albums. I'm a big fan of Canadian Rock and I think that this album examplifies that tradition of good rock music in Canada. The songs are very solid and hold a very unique and powerful energy. Furthermore, I think it's one of the best albums that a Canadian band has put out for their first trip out. Anyways, that's my $0.02.

I also could throw in I Mother Earth's first album. They have a number of great songs on it. Tea Party has had a number of great singles and are amazing live, however due to their experimental and very alternative nature, their albums are always a little lacking.

Oh, here is one for everyone.......Maestro Fresh Wes, Drop the Needle. The pioneer of Canada hip hop. :D
