Why? Are you afraid of dissent?
Not at all. I like dissent, as long as it is conducted appropriately. Thrown rocks at any police officers lately?

[quoteThe US military allows conscientious objectors to serve in non-combat roles. It has nothing to with the draft. ][/quote] Jeez wev, if that's the case why isn't your latest god and hero Jason doing just that?

$1:
The US was the aggressor in a war. That is illegal.
Still you continue to bray continuously about this war being illegal. Prove it little guy.

$1:
Obviously you know nothing about what I've done regarding security certificates and extradition to countries that use torture and the death penalty.
Is that a lead in for me to inquire idiot child? Do tell, in fact do tell us all what YOU'VE done re certificates. Tell us lots of good stuff and you could well find yourself at the top of my icon list, right under George but on your knees as usual. Why the sound of turkeys comes to mind with that picture, gobble gobble blow boy.

$1:
It's pretty hilarious coming from a vicious little freak like you.
Hey! Stop insulting me.

Let me repunctuate that. Why are you afraid of dissent?

He tried, they turned him down. The category exists though, showing that you once again haven;t got a clue about the facts.

Go look it up. The laws are all available on the UN site.

No, it's a statement of fact...you don't know what you are talking about.

You come here without knowing anything, Pathos. You're a pathetic little stalker with no working brain. Now fuck off.

...one last thing...my grandfather was recognized as a contienteous objector in Germany during WWII and was put to work in the forestry department...

...seems a little ironic that the Nazis had more compassion then than the US has now...
That seems like quite a stretch. Are you prepared to prove that?

Well that may be somewhat difficult to do without reveling my alter-ego...8)

I know my mother has a book with a picture of my grandfather in his foresters uniform...would that be enough to convince the skeptics, I wonder...if not, that's fine too, cause I don't really give a rat's ass what you think...

Rev_Blair @ Sun Dec 12, 2004 10:38 pm

The Germans had conscientious objectors and put them to work in alternate service, I know that for sure. Most countries have something similar. I think towards the end of the war they were pressing a lot more into battle because they were short of people, but I'm not sure how far that went.

Actually, I must apologize. I did the math, and I was mistaken...it was not WWII, but WWI that my grandfather was granted CO status...so it wasn't the Nazis, but the German Army, nonetheless, that showed more compassion than the US Army...

...please forgive my lapse in recounting the history of my family, but I haven't spoken to any of them since I was about 15 years old...

It's easy for people here to say he should of fought, but we are lucky. We live in Canada and dont have to fight in this illegal war. They're sending the national guard in. Did those people ever think they'd wind up in Vietnam, I mean, Iraq. It's funny how no governors children have to fight in Iraq. It's always poor or minorities on the front line.

Tonto @ Sun Jan 30, 2005 5:06 am

If I were an American, do you think that I would want to be killed for the likes of ...Bush...Five times Cheney ( differed draft five times during Vietnam) Rummy ( take that what ever way you want to) Wolfowitz...and other neo cons in this ill thought out war........No f**king way!!!!!!!!!!!

america @ Sun Feb 13, 2005 7:51 pm

the reason people join the army is to fight in a war, the war is whats keeping us free here in northamerica and the world, without the war the terrorists would be fucking us upside the head!! I LIKE BUSH hes a hell of alot better then the "THING" we call prime minister!!!!!

Richard @ Sun Feb 13, 2005 8:01 pm

That is an uneducated comment america. Most don't join the army with the express intent of going to war.

Rev_Blair @ Sun Feb 13, 2005 11:20 pm

Also...the last war that was about freedom ended in 1945. I'll bet America wasn't even born then.

I know a few vets who were in Korea that would disagree with you on that one.
But I do agree this is a bullshit war that will never be worth the price that is being paid.I will not miss Saddam but He and his sons are not worth the price that is being paid.
This man who came here does have an argument and I don't know if his running up here is right or wrong. If He came here because He cannot bring himself to fight in this war than I will support him.But if he is a coward than ship the asshole.I am glad I don't have to make that call.
He has served in the past when He felt it was right thats what makes this diffrent from past threads for me.

ManifestDestiny @ Tue Mar 22, 2005 6:51 pm
