Take ur problems to Ottawa, not that hard.
That has gone on for a while and therefore I think it would be better to go our own way.

Ah okay. Well I’m for both self-determination and separatism.
Get this man a medal.

I just want to be free from Ottawa and have more sovereignty over our affairs…
So in other words, you whining because you're not getting treated exactly the way you want?

Care to elaborate?
Yes, he is whining like separatist do.
Hey Dummy Matt is back after getting thrown off of another forum for being an ignorant racist! Welcome back fuckface, I'll have to start examining your posts in greater detail. You're an easy mark to be sure, but you make it so damn entertaining you're worth the piss-nothing effort it takes to humiliate you.
If I drove you from this board once there dingle-nuts, I can do it again! Remember when you said that retarded and little were antonyms?
I do!
Gotta luv me you bigot!
CALM THE FUCK DOWN- As Dave Chappele would say.
Arctic_Menace Arctic_Menace:
Also, people talk of seperatism because they are being whiny little bitches who want mroe than their fair share and so decide to take advantage of those who want to keep this great country united...
I’ll agree with that as well. In fact, talk to most “separatists” long enough and you’ll discover that usually they don’t know their ass from their knee, have little understanding about the complexities involved with their little pipedream or want anything other than to grab something of worth. This isn’t about self-determination - it’s about self-importance.

I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one – you’ll likely get “I once rode on a bus, so therefore I understand separatist issues” dreck. At any rate, whatever comes dribbling out will be entertaining.

If you want to call it whinning. You might as well call elections that too pesky voters always demanding something.

Sure I think we have been pushing for a number of reforms this side of Ontario such as an equal elected senate, respect of provincial jurisidiction, less taxes, smaller government, stronger armed forces, more freedom to make our own policies and less red tape from Ottawa. Some can be done in Canada but really haven't been and others wouldn't be really fair if we got things and other provinces didn't. Doesn't seem to matter which people we elect to Ottawa or matter which party either PC, Liberal, Reform, Conservative, NDP so far not much to show far. So I think it would better to have our own government and less of a federation and more a confederation. I think I discussed a lot of this in another thread with another fellow from British Columbia too.

This is why alcoholism is such a terrible, terrible disease.

Since you did not address the other half of the interpretation of mine, I'm assuming that you are a seperatist because you're being a bay and crying because you aren't being treated exactly the way you want to be...

You see, here's the problem...
Reform is great and all, but that Elephant sleeping south of the border causes an unnatural fear among Canadians that any reform we make that is even remotely similar to that of the USA, is degrading of our uniqueness and sovereignty. This is Canadians abroad, so that means people in your province as well as mine...
$1:

You do realise that the red tape in Ottawa comes directly from the ruling party and it's caucus along with the MP's below that. It's not as if there are 20 guys from Ottawa making all the decisions in this country.

As if. That's never going to happen so long as Alberta keep hugging her oil, Ontario keeps trying to hold onto economic power/dominance, Newfoundland holds on to her oil, Quebec hordes her hydro-electric power, Saskatchewan keeps her wheat and tech, and BC keeps her wood and marine technologies.
Fat bloody chance. You're asking for the impossible.
It's funny, if the West asks for anything from the East, we're expected to just hand it over to them, no questions asked and if we don't, we're called a bunch of ignorant and greedy slobs. But when the East asks for somethign from the West, they tell us to piss off, that it's theirs, poor them, and we don't understand them.
Kinda hypocritical, don't ya think?

I'm for State's/ Provincial rights and as much government in the smallest community as possible under a weak federal government. This has a long history in the US, I'm not sure how well it translates to Canada. I'm for it.
Union of Soverign Dominions?

Well if you want to look at it as whining then anything I would say would be it to you wouldn't it? I wouldn't call it being a baby. A baby would be saying I want you to give me more rights and power than everyone and we want your money too that would be cough Quebec cough. I just want us to independent meaning taking responsibility of our lives and future for ourselves. Ids say that would be more grown up.

Well then there lies the problem doesn't it? I do not care what the United States does a good idea is a good idea and I'm in favour in things I believe are positive. Many people in our province and in the west are not that shy of political reform. I think much would be better achieved outside of Canada in a western confederation.

Ruling parties seem to lose track of things or where their votes are coming from or do not listen to where their votes didn't come from.

Power corrupts as they say. Take the Senate reform this goes back to the 1970's and still nothing really has really happened on that front. I believe it never will or at least an equal one similar to what Australia or even the United States has. Ontario and Quebec seem to have no interest in this since the two largest provinces will always be heard and already dominate the senate they have no reason to care and we would need Ontarians to approve it.

I'm not sure what you mean with this? I'm not asking the east for really anything I don't want your money. I would like reforms but probably won't happen therefore I think it would be better if we broke a part then you can run things your way and we can our way.
