The only way I'd agree to the removal of the House of Windsor, is if the Stewarts(now that they aren't a bunch of Marian Papists) were reinstated.
I think this: The monarchy in Canada is only tradition, Queen has a very formal power. If she will do something that Canadian government will not agree, the Constitutional "monarchy" can end that day.

Absolutely not! Its time to cut the redundant cord of a useless institution that has no current value to Canada. Even Brits will tell you they are figure heads and only good for tourism.

Funny cause most British people i know love the Queen, and i know a fair amount of people from the UK.

My History major wife points out that the Queen represents the British tradition which has been rather more sophisticated than the rest of the world since 1000 years. Individual rights date back to the Magna Carta, for example. The tradition is a big deal.
Republican all the way, baby unless you get me our own Queen/King that is permanently based in Canada and not by some representative.
