Ok right winger.
Had enough of the lack-lustre Harper government?
Kinda impressed with Iggy and thinking of a vote towards the dark side?
Me too, up until I was given a few timely reminders this week of what the Liberals are really all about.

Good old Khaled Mouammar, head of the Canadian Arab Federation , was hard at it calling the Minister of Immigration a “professional whore” for supporting Israel.

Nice, but then we dig deeper. We find out that Mr Mouammar was a Liberal appointee to the Immigration and Refugee Board, where he sat for ten years and approved 100% of every Arab or North African refugee claimants that appeared before him and every claimant that said Israel was bad.

Very nice. Oh I forgot that he’s lobbying to get Hamas and Hezbollah off Ottawa’s terrorist list and lobbying for getting Israel on it.

Good stuff, I can see why Derby votes Liberal now.

Or we could look at Liberal MP Gurbax Singh Malhli joining in with a demo this week on Parliament’s steps for another terrorist group, the Tamil Tigers. He even gave a speech!
Good stuff, a Liberal MP speaks up for a group declared terrorists by Parliament, on it's steps.
The same group that continues to send suicide bombers into café’s and hotels to this date. Nice.

Or this, gleaned from the National Post on Thursday:

$1:
Panchalingam Nagalingam, who was deported in 2005 because of his involvement in a violent Toronto street gang, arrived back on Tuesday morning, and Canadian officials say they facilitated and paid for his return. The circumstances have one official lamenting that the government is "in the business of putting gangs and gangsters out of business, not in bringing them back to Canada."

Police were furious on Friday and immigration officials were at pains to explain why the government had paid to fly a gang member, once charged with hacking two people in the head with a meat cleaver, back to Canada more than three years after he was deported to his native Sri Lanka.

A spokesman for Jason Kenney, the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, said the government was outraged that it was forced to return Mr. Nagalingam to Canada because of a legal agreement entered into by the previous Liberal government.

The Ministry of Justice agreed in December, 2005, that it would allow Mr. Nagalingam to return to Toronto if the courts ever overturned a decision that found he was a danger to the public, officials said. The Federal Court of Appeal did just that in April, 2008, ruling that the judge who decided Mr. Nagalingam's case had made a procedural mistake.

Nice, bring back a few more deported psyco’s that the Libs thought were just poor hard done to refugees.

Oh who could forget John Macullum ( the same guy who called referred to our victory at Vimy as ‘Vichy’, but hey, he was only the defence minister at the time) and his berating of Harper saying it was a good time to buy stocks. Funny, when Obama said this last week no Liberals, especially McCallum , or our famously non-partisan media said a word.

Forgot why you never voted Liberal? Remember again.

Facts nursey-boy, the truth hurts thee?

Are you disputing these facts or is it that you just don't like hearing the truth?

Don't forget the Liberals banidshed because of ADSCAM have returned to a warm welcome.

I don't like the huge majorities we had before because politicians are best when their threatened. We need a viable second party and it definately isn't the NDP. Maybe the coalition fright will jump start Canadians into paying attention to politics and demanding better.

I agree. The response is a little like saying, "It's true but you shouldn't say it", which is a mentality the Liberal party thrives on.

Sounds extremely spun, what was the Sourse of the first few Paragraphs?

EyeBrock @ Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:16 am

Google the names sand. This was all headline news.

ridenrain @ Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:31 am

Considering it says National Post, it shouldn't be too hard.
Also considering we have another example of a Liberal MP playing footsie with a banned terrorist group, it shouldn't be too suprising either.

sandorski @ Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:42 am

"We find out that Mr Mouammar was a Liberal appointee to the Immigration and Refugee Board, where he sat for ten years and approved 100% of every Arab or North African refugee claimants that appeared before him and every claimant that said Israel was bad"

That's the biggest statement I take issue with. Especially the last part. I highly suspect some threw that in there from their Ass.
