If what he did was not a crime in Canada then he should not be extradited.

Also, a little correction, there is no death penalty in the USA for any drug offenses, even dealing heroin to kindergartners will not get you the death penalty.

1st degree premeditated murder with special circumstances is the only class of crime that'll get you dead in the USA.

I am almost 100% sure I seen on a video recording, with Marc Emery himself saying that he quilifys for the death penilty because of the if you sell 60,000 seeds or more your quilifyed for it... and then he went on about how..... wait... wait... memery... coming back.... I could have mistaking multiple life sentances for death penilty, I may be wrong...

The death penalty only applies to murder cases as I described. I'd suspect Mr. Emery was stoned when he got paranoid and stated that he'd be killed for selling pot.

What about treason ?

Treason is in the law but the courts have indicated they will not allow the death penalty for a treason conviction. So far this is true even in military cases where soldiers commit treason.

I supported him when he was being held in Saskatchewan, and over that period I realized that this guy just can't stop getting in trouble. Sure I feel what he's doing is beneficial towards the rights of pot users, but I also feel that this guy is depending on his public to protest and get him out of trouble whereas he could just be a little more careful and stop getting caught... its cold outside it wrecks my high to stand out there and protest.

I see where you stand from your post, but you may not understand his concept, He is basicly trying to get himself in trouble, to show to the public how bullshit some of these laws are, and he is the one that is in the prison cell giving up alot of his freedom, and rights, just for us, and a man that is willing to do that for me, I don't care if I'm outside in the -20 degress holding onto my free Emery sign, smoking a blunt, just to help support him, this man needs the support, if he keeps doing what he is doing, and the majority of canadians support him, mabey we might get marijiwana legalized sometime 2-5 years from now, Till then, I'll be standing in pride, and protesting!!!!

The canadian senit has once said: "The countinued Prohibition on marijuana is more harmfull then the substance istelf" Hmmm... I think we are making some progress...

If thats what he is trying to do, sit in jail, then why are we trying to bail him out? In this case we should be happy that he's gonna get extradited and spend life in jail ... way to give it to the man Emery.

If he's selling billions of dollars of seeds down into the states, and his MO is to get in trouble, why is he afraid of going to the biggest media circus in the world? This is a huge opportunity to talk to a much larger audience. Won't his US supporters protest for him? Is he more afraid of going to prison than he is of fighting the good fight?

eh.... your a "language a Newbie shouldn't use", the whole point was to get in trouble and then make the media circus, he wants to make it INTERNATIONAL, infact he is going to be apering on "60 minuts" and some other stuff. His US supporters are sending him money to help with legal costs, so they are helping... he is most Definitly not afraid of going to prison, he's just afraid of going in there for the rest of his life, witch is what he is facing....

so, let me finish with saying once again, "I am a Newbie" and you should reshearch, or just plane out stfu...

*Edited by Regina for content.........couldn't be bothered to fix the spelling though.

you aren't gonna help getting your point across calling people names and swearing at them... if you think he's not all knowing enough about the subject, why don't you show him how learned you are by explaining what he isn't getting.

Ok
#1 He's going to jail
#2 Get a spell checker
#3 Stop posting while fucked up
#4 Lay off the bong; it's making your adaptation of English even more screwed up (if that's possible)
#5 shouldn’t you be in school now ?

Sweeet! Nice return.

So if he's all fired up to fight the good fight, why is he, and his minions, trying to prevent him from being extradited? Why don't I hear him spouting off good, well thought out arguments like this one, on the Opra show or on Nightline? Why hide in Canada where only the CBC is going to interview him.

As Swampo put it:
... way to give it to the man Emery.

.. and yes, I 'm the one who voted that he should be extradited.

Marc Emery is a good shit, he helped start up several of the commpassion clubs in Canada. I know plenty of people in Montreal of all ages who thank their lucky stars, that they can substitue pot, for their medications. As most doctors know, it is much more benefical for a hosts of ailments than any chemical cocktail the huge drug manufacturers want us to buy.
he did good for all of Canada. He has my support, and I have also supported him financially.

Good Luck Marc where ever you are, we all enjoyed your appearance in Montreal a few ago to explain your point and position, and we`re with you.
If ever the Canadian courts begin to lean towards extraditing him, there will monster demos in Montreal, as I hope woould be mirrored throught the country.

:)

I'll stick to brewing beer, which would have been illegal under prohibition.

I really would like to see something done to take the money out of the industry because the "war" is pretty much a joke. The amounts of money to be made draw the criminal element and that side blows big holes in the holistic, mother earth image of pot smokers. I'm not sure if legalizing it is the answer but I have no problems with folks growing their own plants, as long as it's for personal consumption.

Certain individuals posts remind me of why I stopped smoking dope many, many years ago. Apparently english is not the first language of some of these people(weed man). "You're right dude, this shit doesn't cause brain damage man!"

Holy shit learn to write, learn to spell, learn to make a coherent statement, instead of some rambling, pot-head logic induced collection of gibberish!

Where did the weed_man go? Doesn't he know Cheech and Chong are writing a new screenplay with all his material. Maybe he had to leave for work........those dandelions aren't going to kill themselves.

Dave's not here man.......
