If this actually goes through do you think that a guy like award winning Brocket 99 morning man Ernie Scar would make a great Ambasador? I mean he is very well spoken, educated and knows a good Pow Wow when he see's one, likes to drink to so he would be great at all the social functions required of an Ambasador.
Thoughts?
I'm more inclined to put my vote behind Elvis Meatface. That guy rocked on location at the Hunt and Hook!!!
Derek and Lynne who???!!!!
Granted but we must not rule out Perline Pricklybush, I mean this is almost 2006 and they like to see women getting high profile jobs.
Brockett 99 Yeah, get these guys some cushy government jobs... great PR.
We should also consider positions for the Safeway Singers:
Ernie Scar: Fresh corn-on-the-cob is irresistible, especially at Safeway's low prices. This week we got Washington-grown, Canada Number One corn-on-the-cob, value-priced at three cobs for 88 cen . . .
Safeway Singers: "Workin' hard, doin' it right! . . ."
Ernie Scar: Fuck.
Safeway Singers: ". . . Helpin' you more, we're part of your life! . . ."
Ernie Scar: Fuckin' shit.
Safeway Singers: ". . . At Safeway! Safeway's got it! . . ."
Ernie Scar: Sorry about this. I didn't know it was . . .
Safeway Singers: ". . . Safeway's got it!"
MUSIC STOPS
Ernie Scar: Fuckin' goddamned whitey-produced fuckin' commercials. Never come out the right way. Okay, Safeway's got everything, that's 88 cents for the corn. And everything you need for a super summer barbecue, charcoal, starter, napkins, and paper plates. At Brocket Safeway.
years ago my room-mate and another budding DJ made that tape.
I even turned down an interview on a documentary about the tapes last year.
Roaming picture's,not sure if it ever aired.
But one of the authors was in the limelight a few years ago. Of course he denied it but.......heh heh

That's a dumb question don't you think? Where do you live? Clearly not near any Native reserves. Clearly you don't know any Natives either and have no idea of the day to day problems they and the Metis face that White people don't.
I have and I know that an attitude of 'you do it for me, rather than I'll try and do it for myself' prevails. As long as this attitude exists(and is encouraged by the government and social agencies) the problems will not go away.
Alright Sheperd's dog, I agree with you that that type of attitude will always prevail. That is why the government must only do so much for Natives to help them along as they do for other cultures.
The problem is they don't. The two big problems I've noticed on reserves throughout the west is that there are either no police, or the police are white and rascist; the other problem is that there aren't any adequate schools. The school's for the past hundred years have taught about how Natives are barbaric savages seeking civilization, and the schools now adays are practically none existant.
Nextly, it was only two years ago that the Metis got adequate hunting rights, (though I think that Metis living in urban areas should not qualify for unlimited hunting) wich basically means that it had been illegal for us to practice our culture until then. Now we (Metis) 're only Natives to the government, but I think you get the point.
Virg..btw...Please show me any other 'culture' in Canada that gets billions of dollars from the government to exist.
