Next time, Harper has no homophobic vote!

If China has a problem let them fix it, same goes for India and any other 3rd world country. Money from our country should stay here and not fleece the pockets of companies (in other countries) owned by Liberals.
for someone that struts around about being smart, you're stupid to not see the BS they feed you.
hwacker reminds me of an old story. A ship went down and a lucky few got into a life boat. As they floated around waiting for rescue, one end of the boat sprang a leak. People at that end were frantically bailing out the water.
The guys at the other end of the boat thanked god. 'God, we thank you twice.
First, you saved us and gave us this boat.
Second, you put the leak at the other end. So we can relax and pray, while those poor bastards at that end have to work and bail out the water!'

Shut up Hwacker, lets actually try to have a civilised discussion for once.

My dear Tricks, that is exactly what I mean. You cannot consider yourselves as a competent Canadian Political Party if you can only compare yourselves with the Liberal. What are you? Our housemaids or something? A platform, my friend is when you give the lead, not run behind Liberals sniffing around.
We are leading just fine. We have to fix a few things before we can truely lead this country into further greatness.
$1:
Now that is funny. Kyoto was NOT our plan, it is the world's plan.
I never said differently.

Everyone works for Kyoto, even Harper. If conservatives think Kyoto was a Liberal initiative, then Harper is doomed!
No. It was a wrong initiative. That's why it was changed, and rightly so.
$1:
Doesn't win votes lady, to tell voters that curing them was a waste of money!
Lady?

That's a new one. And of course you missed the point. "Curing" them was not a waste. It was in our poor money management, and ludicrous wait times that caused a waste of money.
Always4Iggy Always4Iggy:
Well, if she did, she knows the value of child care. Except mothers who put their kids with Children's Aid, which I think from your quality that your mother would not have done.
OOO, insulting me and my mom's choices. And who said you don't insult? Well actually, she put me in a day care for the morning like twice a week, mainly so I can meet people. Institionalizing kids does nothing but fuck them up.
Oh and some how I am not "quality?" Considering I could probably be accepted to any university in Canada, you're just plain wrong.
$1:
Yeah? Tell that to the bible thumpers, when WE tell them how Harper deliberately lost the vote!
Deliberately? That's a foiler theory if I ever heard one. He did what he set out to do. Put it to a freee vote. Done, and over with. Spin it how you wish, but you just look like a fool.
$1:
Too bad he saw it AFTER the election! Remember that inviolate income trusts was a conservative ELECTION PROMISE!
As I said above, I would much rather have someone admit they made a mistake, and fix something accordingly, then to go on stubbornly and not doing anything about it.
$1:
If as you said, (perhaps mistakenly,) that wars are more important than women, you have definitely won the next election for us!
Wrong. Soldiers are more important then these retarded feminist groups.
$1:
The best thing we can have is for Conservatives to defend higher military expenses at the cost of women's rights, that too women like you doing it for us! That way, even if we continue in Afghanistan (and Iggy wants to do that, so we will,) we can STILL have our cake and eat it!

I am not a woman

Dumbass.
Women's rights? Tell me, what right doesn't a woman have? Feminists are sexists in their own right. They will not say they are equal till they are somehow above men. I say we are pretty equal right now.

Tricks, first of all, I note that you are not a woman, I'm new around here and do not place people correctly. You just seemed to decent to be a conservative!
Secondly I think you have not read correctly what I wrote. Here is how it should read:
a. Working mothers know the value of child care.
b. Except, that is, mothers whose children need to be taken by children's aid.
c. Such children, as you say, get fucked up.
d. But you tricks, seem to be of better quality (than the fucked up crowd.)
e. And I think that is because your mother used child care and would have avoided Children's Aid.
But without reading correctly, you have confirmed what I wrote. Just as you could stay at home, AND your mother could work, thanks to child care, we think all Canadian kids should have their mother.
And that women should find it easier to have kids.
Liberals will bring child care right back, however much Harper dismantles it!

Thick headed people don't get it, we don't want it.
Furthermore Liberal daycare would be considered child abuse by some and could land the Gov't in court 24X7.
+ it's a settled matter. just like that other thing
Always4Iggy Always4Iggy:
Let's face it. Poor Harper is facing an election soon, and this time he has messed up badly on the same sex resolution.
He made a half hearted attempt at a bad time. He allowed the vote to fail.
He wasn't even changing the legislation, only 'resolving' to re-look at the re-thinking on the topic!
In an ironically queer fashion, this is what he did to his clergymen backers
So what does Harper do next time around? No priests, no bible thumpers no jobless white trash walking around with posters 'Not Adam and Steve'.
Moreover I can sense from the more intelligent conservatives on this board that they are fed up with standing shoulder to shoulder with bigoted bums.
Do you think there will be a massive pro Liberal backlash in the Conservative camp this time?
Interesting. Using a post dripping with homophobia to decry the Conservatives for "homophobia". How utterly tolerant of you.
And your belief that the opponents of same-sex marriage will ever vote for the Liberals or the NDP, for that matter, is just plain delusional.

They would be much better-adjusted if they were taken by their parents, or at least by other members of their family -- which the Conservative plan allows for, and the Liberal plan doesn't.Always4Iggy Always4Iggy:
Liberals will bring child care right back, however much Harper dismantles it!
The Liberals never really brought in childcare to begin with, and the proponents of child care have yet to answer the following question:
How does one expect the state to know what is good for children better than their parents?

Don't know how well you can read, my dear member of the legion of unread and unwashed, but I have no post dripping with homophobia. I am a Liberal, and we tolerate homophobia and every other sexual persuasion, provided as Trudeu said, it involved consenting adults and is done in private.
Because of the unwashed and unread legion you belong to, let me clarify, and excuse me if you are slightly better read, as Tricks is, for instance:
Adults means people of legal age for the activity.
Consenting excludes rape, date rape drugs, tricks and such.
Private is a clause added but it is flexible. For instance, kissing and embracing between lovers was once strictly private, now it is tolerated. Gay parades are not sexual acts so they can flourish.
Patrick_Ross Patrick_Ross:
And your belief that the opponents of same-sex marriage will ever vote for the Liberals or the NDP, for that matter, is just plain delusional.
I think that opponents of same-sex marriage will vote only for those who can bring that law into force. Harper has just shot his chances of uniting the extreme right and muslim and jewish fundamentalists. No way they line up behind Harper again!

You cant dismantle something that was never there in the first place.
People want to have kids fine, dont ask me to babysit everyones kids with my tax dollars . We should be promoting responsible parenting and not this nanny state where everyone and anyone except the parents who brought them into the world to care of them.
Why do we have a system now that punishes people who decide to not leech off the system where one of the parents actually stays home and raises their own kids, you wouldn't believe the benifits this has for the kid in question, a parent taking care of them rather than a stranger dropped off at daycare while people drive off in their bmw to pursue their corporate careers, suggest anything else and were trying to keep the women down, right . You do know that some men stay home and play this role simply because the women makes more money. Oh the injustices of this Conservative government towards women.
Theres a benifit for kids that are brought up and taken care by their maternal parents as opposed to a stranger at daycare. Some parents need daycare but what you want is a nanny state, horse shit.
Always4Iggy Always4Iggy:

Now, as for the "legion of the unread" comment, I have a little challenge for you. Let's compare how well-read we are. This week alone, I've read:

Civil Society, Globalization and Three Folding by Nicolas Perlas
Terror and Counter-Terror: A Criminological Perspective, by Mathieu Deflem.
